MNRCRC Winter Meeting....

Fees:
-MN State Park parking permits are required, but are available at the park for either a daily pass for $5 or a year pass for $25 (good at any MN state park).
-Also there is a club fee of $3 per comp or $30 for the series.

Don't forget, that this year everyone is judging. Mike came up with the idea of doing the penalty calling first, then run, then score keep. This way you get to see a run before your run. This has been working fine the last few comps that we've been trying it, so we will continue with that process. We're trying to get everyone involved in judging this year to help take a load off the guys that are always judging. We will help out those who aren't comfortable judging yet. Let us know, and we can make sure someone can walk you through it the first few times. You can also freshen up on your rules knowledge by taking the USRCCA judging quiz-HERE

For more details, check out our Series Schedule & Details thread at the top of the MN section, or click HERE.

Directions:(map)
From the South: Take I-35 north. Take the Taylors Falls Exit, Hwy 8 East. Follow 8 approximately 22 miles. The entrance to the park office is located on the right hand side of the road at the only stop light in Taylors Falls. Stay to the right as you enter the parking lot.

From the North: Take I-35 south. Take the North Branch Exit, Hwy 95 East. Drive approximately 22 miles, passing through downtown Taylors Falls. At the stop light (intersecting hwy 8 ) continue straight. Stay to the right as you enter the parking lot.

totally random but me and my friend planed on going up there the same day but we did not realize there will be a comp going on. So as long as we dont bother you guys we should be good right? Also i assume we can watch the comp correct?

Just got home after working another 12hr shift... Looks like im out for this one. Good luck everyone hopefully next year will bring a more acomidating schedule for me!

Sent from my phone using my fingers.

My friend and I had a great time today meeting you guys. It's nice to know there are other people that have the same interest in RC.

And thanks for letting me run the course, it was fun and I learned alot!

I am the friend he is referring to and yeah we kinda did but most people there did not seem all that interested in introducing themselves at all. Maybe they were confused and though we were one of the many random on lookers? who knows but i did not feel that welcomed....

Were you the younger gentleman with him? Sorry for the appearance of being unwelcoming. With each course we run we have 3 people tied up, and we were running 2 courses at a time. ( and we literally tie people up sometimes so you're lucky we didn't notice you!)

Seriously, if you want to see us in a much more laid back state, come to the Howl Crawl on the 27th. It's much more laid back.

Hope to see you there!"thumbsup"

correct i was the younger fellow. I do understand that you guys were all tied up and what not. I guess its good that i was quiet for the most part, would hate to get tied up! I am really hoping to be able to go to the next scale GTG.

I may be able to come for the Howl Crawl, but I won't know until late Saturday. What time does it start, and approx. how long will we be running? I want to be sure I bring enough power.
