Mmp esc issues

I just got a cc mmp esc. I finally got it calibrated to the correct colors of led. If i hook my flysky gt5 to it, i have steering for just a lil bit then it starts flashin red, yellow, n green at same time n steering goes full left. I got throttle for only a few seconds n its gone as the 3 led lights blink n over takes steering.

Now if i put ANY of my traxxas rx/tx to the mmp i get throttle AND steering on the steering of the tx. Doesnt matter if i put esc wire in ch1 or ch2, the throttle on tx doesnt work n the steering works both at same time.

I wanna use my gt5 as ive got a winch and eventually want to work lights on fly as well. Any help is much appreciated! Im runnin smc 2s batt n i dont have a cc field card or link to hook to esc.

O n i can hook my traxxas xl5hv to my gt5 tx n it works fine. Wen i hook my xl5hv back to my traxxas rx/tx, steering works throttle n steering at same time on it as it does on the cc mmp. Wat in the world is goin on guys? Its drivin me nuts! I wantd to get the mmp in today n go for a run to try it out.

The mmp is set for brushed just so yall know. It was that way wen i got it. Tryin to cover all bases best i can lol

Ok ive been foolin with it for a bit. If i dont hook the servo up, it works fine with the gt5. But as soon as i hook the servo up n turn the wheels, it flashes r,y,g led n wheels go full left. So im guessin thats a brown out? Ive got 2 bec comin, so ill have to wait til they get here to do anything else.

But, i still have the issue with my traxxas radio. Throttle does nothing n steering wheel controls steering n throttle at same time. Idk how to get it back to how its supposed to be...

All 3 colors means no signal from reciever to esc. Check that esc cable is not plugged in backwards to the receiver.

Check voltage from esc to reciever is not too high or just set to 6v to be safe.

If brown out occurs when steering linkage is disconnected the servo should not be able to draw enough amps to cause a brown out.

Try testing a different servo.
Try with different battery.
Bec might patch the problem, but I think something is wrong somewhere else.

It only does it wen servo IS plugged in. Wen i try without servo, i have no issues. I contacted the person i got esc from n they said i would need a bec. Wat i researched even said the mmp bec was weak from the get go. So im waitin for the bec i ordered to get here.

Servo is probably no good. The High amp draw from the servo happens when the servo is pushing aganst resistance, heavy resistance. Sitting on a table or tile floor it here is not enough resistance to cause this. Your servo is probably broken. Either broken teeth in it are binding up or the electronics in it are bad. Burned up bearings in the servo or something.

I took the xl5hv out n put in the cc mmp. Servo worked fine with the xl5hv. But with the mmp, it causes the 3 leds to light up n goes full left. Nothun wrong with servo, it worked flawlessly before i changed esc n it works with the mmp for a few secs, then r,y,g led lights up on esc. From wat i have researched, the bec in the cc mmp is weak. If i unplug the servo, it works fine. The esc doesnt have the power to work the servo, so im waitin on a external bec to resolve the issue

Have you swapped them(the servos)? or just basing it on the fact that it worked before you swapped things around? I don't mean to be pushy or rude but I am probably going to be any way, but it worked before I changed the esc would lead one to assume it should still work, but that is not the same as knowing it sill works. When troubleshooting it's best to throw away all assumptions and go from facts whenever possible. there is more to break in servos then gears, they have electrical boards that can do funky things, I've killed servos in my rig that decided to burn up my receiver with their dying breath.

I have a bec In only one of my rigs, and the reason why I bought it was because if I wiggled the tires back and forth really fast, it would pause for half a second then resume working normally. but it never just went full side and stayed there for over a second. but different electronics do different things. I would just be concerned with the servo as I have had them kill other electronics and it seems to be the constant in this problem.

I'm not trying to say a bec won't work, but to me I don't think you should be having problems with your current MMP setup if everything is in working order.
Obviously I could be wrong.

Thats wat happened to mine. Wiggle them back n forth n it would cause all 3 leds to light up n they would go full left. Ive ruled out bad servo by puttin my xl5hv back in. Everythung worked perfect wen i swapped back to xl5hv. Hooked mmp back up w/out servo n had no problems. As soon as i hooked servo back up, it done same thing. I searched for the issue online n it said the bec in the mmp was weak from get go. So im goina put a bec in n see if it helps. Wats the worst that can happen? It doesnt help? Trial n error my friend.

Oh I must have read it wrong, I thought you had the issue with both esc's, probably I confused the transmitters with the esc's as I'm not familiar with all the models you listed.
