Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays if Xmas isn't your thing.

This is my first xmas stag. Was kind of nice, but definitely different than usual.

May still make a pineapple upside down cake yet tonight, but probably wont and will just chill.
Pineapple upside-down cake is at the top of my favorite desserts but I've never tried making one. At my local grocery's bakery they're just too damned expensive but man they're good.

I sorta feel that Christmas is really for families and kids. With just my wife and I here at home... and with her working all the time, it's honestly just another day. So much of it all is related to the pre-Christmas hype anyway. Plus I'm old so despite the good memories, I'm always glad when this holiday is over.

And Judas ( mini holiday rant)... For my remaining days, if I never hear another Willie Nelson Christmas song or any other Christmas song for that matter... I'm good. So sick of the holly jolly Santa BS... ugh. Bout to finish off this night with some Pink Floyd and the last of the seven-layer dip.

LoL I sure get tired of the same ol Xmas songs as well bro. We have enjoyed listening to techno or trap Christmas songs the past two years tho 🤣🤣🤣

In my case I have two radio stations that are on 24/7 ( one in my hobby room/ one in the garage). They're both really cool stations as they're local public radio... no commercials and tons of local artists... really eclectic mix of stuff that isn't pop or typical corporate rock ad nauseam. But man... this time of year it's all Christmas so take any popular classic Christmas song and between both stations you'll hear 20 different versions of that song and it's all just too much lol. I don't need to hear Silent Night 10x a day by Chuck Berry, The Ramones, Johnny Cash, Adele, etc, etc.

Got some dolls and a couple Strawberry Shortcake plush for my 5 y/o Niece (my Sister’s daughter) and some baby appropriate and easily packed gifts for my 5 m/o Nephew (My Sister in Law’s son). I also got our Dad a Kyosho ‘65 Buick Riviera after he mentioned wanting to eventually get one when we were at a LHS this past fall. His Parents (and yes, my Grandparents bought a ‘64 new and eventually he and his Uncle (Grandma’s baby brother) built it into a monster of a street car. Even though we have historically been a Mopar family and that Kyosho also offers a ‘70 Charger similar enough to the 440 Six Pack 4-Speed car he and Mom bought new, he still wanted the Riv.

I'm also late, but belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everybody! Hopefully it was great and hopefully 2025 rocks!
