So anyways, other than coming up with overly simplistic anagrams, i also like to build things...not thing other people have built, new things. Why fall to the labors of others and not get anywhere new? I don't want to go to the moon, I want to go to Mars. I don't want to buy a pair of shoes with a design on em, i want to buy a pair of plain shoes, and draw on them. Anyways, point being, I build...differently. I build things with things...and some people don't understand. So if you are a "normal person", look away now. If you have a few screws loose, tune in, this should be a good'n.

On to the actual description of the project. I had this...bruiser. it was...stock. the chassis was swiss cheese and filled with this weird...epoxy i want to say. Someone had tried to weld the rear crossmembers to the chassis. They failed. I ground away what i think was safety silv rendering a clean frame and crossmembers. Pried away the epoxy. Cleaned it up all over. The front arch of the chassis is bent to Hell. So...being the sacreligous fool I am, I take out the original trans, replace it with a gd-600 mated to an axial trans and call it good. Not quite good for me. I hated how wide and weird it was. The hub system is RETARDED. Dremel came out and i started smiling. Cut the rear axle narrower and crossdrilled the stock axle shaft to fit a 12mm hex. That was the easy part. Not so much easy as made me happy. I then started work on the front axle. I figured out the exact specs of parts that would allow me to double bearing the front knuckles. After that, it needed way more steering...so dremel came back out and ground away the inside of the pivot ball area. There indeed was a lot more steering to be had. Still waiting on the parts to be cut. In the mean time, I started hacking...err...modifying the chassis to suit my needs. I lobbed off the rear 3" and the front 2" of chassis. Much better. I like approach and departure angles. (breath)
So, Now to find a body to put on it. I looked at 1:1 trucks that I liked. I found a few that were perfect. One was a Ford Ranger. Pics below. The other is a F-350 cab with an extreme dovenose and overall hardcore everything. Then I decided those were too...Modern. So I turn to something I really like...Rat Rods. Search around and decided I would just make a generic Rat Rod because replicating things isn't my style. Anyways, I guess here are some pics.

The ranger i wanted to build.

Ive seen this thing drive around town so many times in the past. Havent seen it in a while, but i think its the ratiest of the rods:
