Sunday, May 1, 2011 - Carderock, MD
*********************************
Is everyone ready for the next competition? Well, after many discussions between the MDRCC and VARCOR clubs, we have decided to do a combined competition. Expect the competition to be difficult, especially for the VARCOR drivers since this is new driving terrain.
The spot for this showdown is along the Potomac River in Carderock, MD which is located on the VA/MD border. The nearest interstate is I-495.
For the VARCOR drivers, this will be our 2011 VARCOR Point Series Event #6.
For the MDRCC drivers, this will be your 2011 MDRCC Summer Series Event #3.
MDRCC will be hosting the event. As usual, both clubs follows the 2011 USRCCA Rules. At the drivers' meeting, we can discuss any questions, issues, or concerns on the rules as usual.
*********************************
2.2 Comp, 2.2 Sportsman, and 1.9 Comp. And for the scalers, you're more then welcome to come and join the fun.
Notes:
*********************************
The alternate weather date will be Sunday, May 8, 2011.
*********************************
Registration and Tech will start at 10:00 am
Drivers Meeting / Course Review at 10:45 am
Start Competition at 11:00 am

We will need volunteers to setup the courses. Also, if you have markers, chalk, stop watch or timer, please bring it for the judges and course designers.
If you have any questions, please contact youngblood or myself.

Notes:
- MDRCC does not run 2.2 Sportsman class. However, they will stay and help the VARCOR guys judge the course.
- MDRCC has dropped the entry fee for this competition since VARCOR doesn't charge an entrance fee.
- Will run 3 courses with up to 10 gates labeled Start through Finish. The top 6 will run a shootout course with 10 gates. If the terrain allows we will have a bonus gate that you can try for progress points.
