Mamba X surging when going full throttle in reverse

Kind of stumped and do not know what to do.

I switched my receiver from the stock traxxas TQ1 to the Flysky GT5
I started setting all the end points when i got it all figured out and test everything. going full throttle forward is fine but when you go into reverse at slow speed it is fine but at full reverse it surges!!

When did I do wrong or what did I not set right?

Well Sorry for the post! I should have dug into this deeper.
On the GT5 Transmitter there is a setting for ABS, I had it turned on!
When i turned it off the surging went away
