lowslow's uberslow (yet seemingly instant) High-Lift based Unimog crawler FOR SALE

I started building this a while ago and then moved from OH to AZ and have not gotten much done on it since. I did a build thread on Scale4x4 a while back, but thought some of you all might care...if not please ignore. :)

Here is my inspiration for the unimog:

from the Mog Shop

Here are the Pics:
it started with an idea and some goodies from RPP Hobby!:

1:1 unimogs have torque tubes...this is my ~1/12ish scale solution a fixed driveshaft: The drive shafts transmit power to the axle and also serves as a trailing/leading arm.

Two control arms, in plane with the driveshaft, prevent side to side movement of the axle just like the 1:1 (I think :) )

the front will have the same fixed d-shaft and control arms. Caster is a bit of a problem, but meh! What cha gonna do?

Unimog cab paint inside the lexan...think rust when scratches occur:

How it sits now:
I still need to add the lights, snorkel, yada yada!

Some evidence that I drove it once! :) ...Or placed it on some rocks if you are a sceptic.

Its on the back burner, but I will finish it someday I hope

I hope that having only 1 universal on each driveshaft does not cause you and issues.

Its a great looking truck, very creative and thank you for not doing another Jeep or Toyota, we need more builds of other flavors.

Looks awesome and well thought out! Only 3 things needed and I know you can do it, 1 remove the top 2 full interior 3 add some mud pluggeres from RC4WD!!! It would look exactly like the 1:1 at that point..But either way it looks like a lot of fun to run!

Thanks! As for having only one U-Joint per driveshaft thats sort of the point . Its similar to a torque tube like on a Unimog (or on a model T etc.) where the whole axle/driveshaft acts as a swing arm.

I am not so good at the interiors. :) I Love the idea of mud pluggers!

which yokes did u use. im gona braze a drive sharft together. for my build.

They are bits and pieces from Tamiya Juggernaut II driveahfts or CC-01 driveshafts. They seem to be made of chromed brass....I think. The tube is just form the metal bin at Lowes/Home depot/Tractor supply/etc.
