Losi Crawler Pictures......

I went down to the river the other day to conquer the rocks while my wife was agate hunting. About 20 minutes in i was being dive bombed by two killdeer birds...ten minutes later i found out why when i almost crawled over four camo'd eggs in their nest!

the only mods so far is a complete waterproofing with plasti-dip and marine grease + the 1.9 losi weighted bead locks. I'm new to the hobby so taking in the tips from the forum and enjoying the reads. Next week i'll head to the nearest hobby shop (+100 miles away in vancouver wa) and check out some body-shells and maybe grab another set of bead locks...We have two MRCs, & my wife is like; "I want those wheels too!"... :)

Happy Trails,
Thom

Updated info on my MRC :)

I swapped out servos and now have the Futaba S3305 as the HS did not have an equivalent HiTec 645. This one has 145oz of torque and seems to do fine.

Swapped out the stock chassis for the TCS Edge. I like it lots! Since this is a non-comp play around rig i didn't mind the extra ounce? of plastic electrical-project-tubing to protect the metal. It sort of gives it a Mad Max look :) It had a few tumbles and was none the worse looks wise so it did what i'd hoped in protecting the finish. OH, and of course the Monster Drink graphics from a couple cans of the blue version.

Swapped out for metal dif parts.
Alum. wheel extensions.
Alum. threaded shocks with added internal pen-springs to limit travel.
Alum. bead lock wheels with included weights on front (gave the extra set to my wife for her front-stock wheels on her MRC, work great).

This is taken at a nearby creek. My wife was gold panning a few feet away while i played with the MRC.

....updated with a shot of my wife's MRC with the body and wheel face-lift she did. She really enjoys crawling!

I'm lucky enough to have 2 MRCs, one which is completely waterproofed and has been everywhere, the other which is built from the ground-up from parts into a capable crawler and semi-scaler.
