Losi Baja Rey 1/10th 4WD RTR desert truck

Definitely! When i saw that it made me think about picking up the metal concepts ones. The Baja rey is my sons. The Yeti is mine. were gonna battle it out soon enough! thanks for the suggestion on the plug. I just cancelled the amazon order and went with the shorter ones from ebay. Someone has got to come up with a deans male permanent adapter to replace the ec3 ones if your using deans as your primary connector. Its all too close to all the moving parts back there.

gonna pick up a castle fan for the motor today or a metal heatsink. I wish i could fit both like i did on my yeti but it doesnt look roomy enough with the rey.

Thank you for the pics!
The Rey won't be released here in Australia just yet, we still have a short wait until we can get our hands on them.
Not wanting to stray off topic, but I suspect the rear drive shaft is the same as the Vaterra Ascender heavy duty drive shaft but with tough looking uni's fitted, might make a great upgrade option for the ascender crowd, I keep wearing out the little pins in mine...
Back to the Baja Rey! It's way cool and will be my next RC for sure, haven't been this excited about getting an RC car since getting a Tamiya Frog kit as a kid back in the 80's lol.
Really hoping a racing class is created for these types of trucks, count me IN if they do!

I'm thinking about glueing my adapter in place. Not getting glue on the connectors of course. As short as this adapter is it will be like having a permanent Deans.

I picked up this fan. I have several of them already on my other rigs. This fan will blow your mind on how much air it moves! I have the Losi SCBE with the same motor and its gets pretty hot with stock gearing. I hope it runs a little cooler I this rig.

btw, I have a youtube channel (BulletproofRC). Check out my videos of my Axial Yeti Score!

Ive seen the metal concepts A-arms but have not done the research. Do they bolt on or need modification to fit?

Lower trailing arms look a bit longer than the yetis. I will try and fit the stock yeti ones to see if they fit. If they do ill order up some vanquish ones. MIPS in the near future as well as ti or aluminum rear uppers. Finally got the cage off so ill snap some side by side pics later on today.

rig looks pretty damn nice. aluminum pan and top plate looks nice. front end looks REAL nice.

Will this thread always be in the chit chat forum? Maybe it needs a dedicated spot?

id imagine sooner or later a baja rey area will exist. maybe. :flipoff:
has to be done by somebody with admin access.
