Do you confuse Bon Scott with Brian Johnson as well?
American radio insisting on overplaying Zepplin for 30 years has made it hard for me to enjoy much anymore. If I walk into a bar & hear "its been a long time since" I just turn around, I swear every $hitty bar band I have heard thinks they can improve on that tired old jam.
Enjoy your zep, if its still fresh for you, I envy your perspective. I once, long ago loved them.
You have to admit it sounds like Zep. A lot.
Hearing it through a shitty factory stereo in a 30 year old
hilux didn't help.Honestly i was sure it was them.Other billy squire
songs don't sound like zep to me,that did.
I don't listen to the more popular Zep songs that much
because like you say they just get thrashed.I was brought up
on Zep,love them and always will, the Mothership album gets
a good flogging here.
Houses of the holy
Trampled under foot
Over the hills and far away
I am yet to hear these on the radio, unless i request them
They're a few of my favorites.Once in a while I'll put
on a more commercial track.
This year Robert Plant came to my town and performed at
a blues festival with some band, Shapeshifters i think. It
was utter shit. They did a few Zep songs and hemorrhaged them.
Badly.It was a huge let down and i wish i didn't go.
