Animals was really the last Album the band worked on together. The Wall was almost completely Waters, he utilized the band much like a solo artist would use studio musicians. Waters says he realized things were getting to a point of change when he spit in the face of an adoring fan at a show in Montreal on the Animals tour.

I hear more angst on Animals myself

Zowie that is one hard song to play.
My best friend in HS was a natural musician with perfect pitch & time. He could play about anything, this piece from JS Bach still gives him fits.
This guy makes it sound amazing.
