i never claimed to be smart so i need some help. on my lcc im running
17.5 exceleron combo and a 200oz steering servo and losi dig servo. i bought the losi 2 cell 7.4 lipo and i can only get about 30min. run time. i double check pinion gap for drag, i have done the shim removal and pack my axles with grease. i dont understand the diffrence if i can run a 3cell if that will give me longer runtime

Your run times sound about normal for a LCC. You have done all the right things with the worms and all.
I am running 2s 2000mah packs and I get about 45 minutes if I don't get too throttle happy.
The worms gears and tranny in the LCC require at lot of power.
If your looking for run times equal to an Axial...it isn't gonna happen.
I don't have any experience with the 3s LiPo's, but I doubt you will get much longer run times, just more power.
I run Common Sense RC LiPo packs that can charge at 2C (4 amps). This cuts the charge time almost in half so with 2 battery packs I always have one charged by the time the other dies.

Yes you are right Ax10 have more run time than Losi comp Crawler. This is due to the gear design.

If you went to the 3 cell lipo you would get more volts. This does = longer run time as long as you stay out of the throtle most of the time. I am running 2200mah 3s lipos and get about 45min to an hour of run time. But the motor gets realy hot at the 45min mark. I am running a HHH brushed motor and not a brushless like you, so may get a little more run time. This is just my observation.

John Rob Holmes states that for longer run time you need to "volt up and gear down". This has been proven time and time again. I hope this helps.

thanks guys im just gonna buy a another battery pack or two. i didnt realize the worm drive took so much juice to run.

The C on the batt matters too. The higher the C rating, the faster the batt can give the motor juice. But it also means less run time! I have two 15Cs that last about 40 min. and one 30C that is freaking awesome, but only get about 25 min. :)
