Hello, my name is Lucas and I'm from Poland so sorry if my english isn't perfect.
I'd like to show You today my rally car.
It took me one season of rallying to finish this setup and it's almost* done (*because there is always a place for improvement)

It's based on a Tamiya TT-02D Type S kit link, and it's powered by SkyRC ESC and 17,5T brushless motor

Below You can see the full list of hop-ups used for this project.

Custom parts and modification:
- full custom front and rear shock towers, battery holder, bumper holder, rear suspension shafts holder
- trimmed c-hubs, front knuckles, lower suspension arms
- full bushings to ball bearings replacement
- cordura / nylon inner cover inspired by Dusy Motors

I hope You enjoy my work and I'd like to invite You to visit the Facebook profile of our league.

Today some photos of tarmac setup - lower towers, shorter TRF shocks, harder springs, HPI Pirelli tyres...

I've recently upgraded to shorty lipo packs. It helped saving ~100g, but it also forced me to change electronics layout by placing ESC at the opposite side of the chassis for better balance.

How do the fabric chassis covers work for you? Obviously they protect but do they cause any overheating of the motor? Beautiful car!! We need more Rally in the USA.

It works pretty well. I run 17.5T motor on 2S battery and with small fan on my Toro ESC and never had problems with overheating, but our SS are no longer than 8 minutes, so it wasn't tested in longer bashing runs.

Which arm parts you are using? they aren't the stock TT02.

They aren't stock for most of TT-02's, but there are some limited kits called "Type S" that come with TA-05/TRF-416 based suspension, including lower arms, c-hubs, uprights and others.

check out these:

If You want to convert Your TT-02 in the Type S version You'll need to combine some parts from:
https://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=54634

and

Tamiya, Short Reversible Suspension Set ,(54083)

but I don't know if You'll find everything needed in those two parts kits.

can you share a closer pic of the front upper links? i started with a tt02, but starting using other tamiya parts. Not familar with that inner link tie/brace.

forgot to add, NICE car!!! i really wish rally would get big in the US. i really like the japan leg of RC cars. Not that they are better or worse, its just a personal pref, as the japanese do things unlike others. take there phillips screws, they are so much better to use over an amercian phillips screw/screw driver. If you have never used a TRUE japan phillips screw driver , please try. they fit so much better than US. (even in amercian screws)

this is how i secured my front upper links. On this car, i can only adjust the length, but your pictures look like you can also move the link forward and backward? (camber AND caster-pitch?)
