Basic job on this.. only 4 areas were masked off. Hood has louvered areas in gun metal, roof has the two sides, did the two inserts on the side panels where the fake air intake sticker goes and the also the the back side after it turns.

Tried to replicate the style on the box... 4 colors black, orange, gunmetal, and silver.

Like you i haven't decided on a scheme yet. Will have Orange in it regardless. Have had great luck on my last 2 bodies using Krylon Plastic fusion. Takes longer to "Set" than Tamiya but it has held up well for my bashing bodies.

Only thing i have done is 1 rim while waiting for some parts. I need Gold to do the BL screws and i might do orange stripes on the vertical accent between the cutouts. I'll do 1 rim for a mock up and if i don't like it i will use it as the spare. I also did the Fuel lid. My first attempt and using liquid mask didn't turn out very good on the lines. Should have used tape.

How do you guys paint plastic parts like wheels? I am loving the detailed work posted here. Specific paint? Tamiya PS spray? Brush-on product?

Do share! Thanks

I bought valspar enamel latex paint in a pint size container. Then applied a light coat followed by a heavy coat with a testors model brush. For the inside details I dabbled drop sized paint onto the surface and slowly moved the brush until the drop took to the surface. I was then able to remove the dried paint from the raised rim lock surfaces with my finger nails. I know its not the right paint for the plastic but these areas are in a non contact area and will stay in place and if im wrong I will just have to do some touch up. So far it has held up with no problems.
