In a rock forest...
I just wanted to introduce myself on here. I would rather not say where in Arizona I live, but I am near an area with alot of rocks, and its alot of fun. I own a crawler that I built myself. Its an NN chassis, Clod axles, Hitec 645 MG servos, rear steer, brand new set of narrowed BFT tires from a Monster GT on narrowed Axial Bead lock rims. I also have a Traxxas TQ3 radio system with a rear steer mod from the crawler store, and a Mamba Max Speed control.

I dont own a camera, so no pics. :-(:-(:-( Oh well.

A bit more about me--

I also own the foloing vehicles. Most of these were acumulatid over my about 7 years of rc experience. Most were gifts, some were awsome deals from ebay. I wouldnt otherwise be able to afford all of these, because I am only 15

Monster GT
RC18B
XXX-T
LST
LST2
Muggy
XXX-BK2
OFNA LX Comp
OFNA Violater 9.0 with King Pin suspension
Kyosho Mad Force
E-Maxx
Revo (no offence to you traxxas fans, but I think the revo sucks...)
HPI Savage 21

My other stuff
I have that new OFNA charger
I own about 15 4200mAh IB battery packs
I have about 3 of every tool, mostly because I thought I lost one at one time or another and then bought a new one, then found the old one.
I have my own Craftsman tool box at home in my dads garage....The bottom half is full of spare parts, and the top half is all of my much needed tools and accesories.

A little bit more about me--
Back when I was about 8 years old, I got my first RC vehicle. It was a Nikko Chevy 3500 dually. I still have that old thing. 2 wheel drive special, no real steering servo, it used magnets, and it had high and low gear and a stick radio. I used it until the nubs werent even on the tires. And that got me hooked. Later, on my 9th birthday, there was this big box in the corner with my name on it. I wondered what it was. It was what I went for first. I opened it and to be extremly exicted by a brand new Nikko Dodge Viper. On the box it said it ran on a 7.2 volt battery, the first time I had ever seen such a battery. It said scale speeds of up to 200 MPH, Actual speed was 20. I loved that on road viper. From then on, I started getting magazines at wal mart for Radio Control Car Action. I was so hooked on those magazines, and I had my parents get me a subscprition to it every year from that day till now. And those magazines are what started me into the Hobby grade RC scene.

My 12th birthday. I was so excited, because again, another HUGE box in the corner. I went for it first again. My very first hobby grade RC truck. An E-Maxx. To me, at that time, it was the biggest, burlyest, baddest, meanest looking rc truck I had ever seen. I got a quick charger and 2 2000mAh batteries with it. 2 hours later, I was outside, frightening every small woodland creature in the nieghborhood. I still have that original Emaxx too. It looks like on of the most worn out RC cars youve ever seen. I went through 4 ESCs and about 10 motors on that thing:roll:. And since that first hobby grade RC, its been downhill from there. Now I own 14 RC's including my crawler, and hopefully, that empire will continue to expand.

About my crawler--

My crawler project started in about april. it was funded by my yard work for dad, house decorating for mom, and birthday, christmas, and new years money and allowance I had saved for this $1200 dollars total, even though I didnt spend that much on it.

I bought it in sections, you know, buy the chassis, put it together, buy the axles, put em together and onto the chassis. And it went from there until it was done. I did alot of modifications to the clod axles to make them better. I also learned how to narrow wheels myself, after many trial and error. But I got it figured out real good in the end, considering I have had about 3 years of fabricating small stuff for my other RC's. And now, I have this awsome crawler.

I hope you all enjoyed this, and I hope it sheds some more light on me seeing as I dont have a camera :-(:-(:-(. Sorry if I made it too long and made it my life story, but I just thought you all would like to know about my RC history. Hope you enjoyed reading!

lol thanks. Yeah school kinda ruins it in the winter months for me hear....cause we like never have snow days :-(:-(. So basically, I get more into it in the summer than winter. oh well...

Welcome NN - I had to respond to this, because it is so refreshing to see a 15 year old kid come on here and use proper spelling and punctuation and whatnot. You only misspelled a couple words, whereas a lot of kids here type like they are texting on their cell phone and you can't even begin to get their point. It is reassuring to me to see a kid that is getting something out of school. You definitely have a bright future ahead of you. Bravo.

You also have an impressive stable for a guy your age.

The stars you see denote members who have contributed to the site. A green star is 20 bucks, and with it you'll be able to add an avatar and post things in the For Sale section and some other stuff...
