KCRC - Kansas City Remote Crawlers -

New large scale build.....

Well my son has been wanting me to buy this from the neighbor for awhile now......and me, being the hardass i am, kept telling him he needed to nut up and go ask himself.
So finally, after a month or more, Tanner actually man'd up, with a pocket full of his own cash, and went over to make a deal. Long story short, guy says its yours if you get it fixed up.
Needless to say T's stoked and i was able to teach a valuable life lesson....money talks and bullshit walks :flipoff:

So does anyone have any words of advice on these, part houses with the best prices, etc.......

Thx Sam.....I hadn't even thought of anyone local, i'll check them out.

Found a handful of sites online that have parts for it, prices are just all over the map though, for the same parts.

Do I have to get the vp trans housing for the xr10 if I get the motor plate or can I use the stock motor plate and upgrade is I go.

I posed this question to Riv at heartland, but I figured I'd collect opinions here too. I realize the price difference is about double. But DNA sniper wheels vs axial beadlocks (like the ax8088) one is plastic? and the other all aluminum. Worth the extra money on a MRC?

Aluminum wheels are better especially if ur gunna be changing tires and fomes and adjusting wheel weights keeps u from stripping the holes out.

You can just get the plate if you want, you don't have to one to run the other. I do suggest you get it though because only replacing one side of the small bearings isn't going to completely fix you problem. You can always just get the bushings until you have enough to buy both.

Except the damn bushings are nearly half the cost of the trans housing!

So I know you are probably running a 10mm bearing under the front upper link mount, are you running a bushing under the rear? Or are you running one of the crappy axial bearings? I'm super paranoid of one of mine going out and ruining my gears. I looked on VPs site and it looks like they only sell the set, or id just put bushings in there for now untill I can get my hands on a set of axle halves.

Fire sale alert!

Posting these things in here first.
My JK is up for sale, ARTR, just needs RX/TX, Batt, and ESC.
First $400 takes it.

Also, my "Muddauber" IFS rig is up for grabs.
Just needs skinned, handles great, no electronics.
not sure what it's worth, but prolly more than $400,
due to the one-of-a-kind.
Shoot me a price, and we'll talk.

Oh ya, Ty's Comanche SCX10, ARTR, $300...?

TQ4, $75

Quite a few hardside 4000mah packs, 2200mahs,
MCX2 heli, MCX heli, Lipo charger,

Everything must go!

Anything else I might have, that you might want, just let me know.
We can work something out.

Not sure if Dinky R/C is going to be around much longer...

Well I got everything signed for the house in Parkville today. So now I have to start packing.

Going to start on the hobby room tonight. Probably get rid of a bunch of shit. I'll let you guys know if I have stuff to get rid of cheap so I don't have to move it (since this has become a local for sale section ).
