Hey guys, my ventures into boating have always ended up with them sinking or catching fire, melting and then sinking. I'm trying to build a dependable, fun boat to run around with and I REALLY need some help.

I picked up a Joysway Infinity offshore V-hull boat AARTR for a steal at $115 shipped! I did a lot of research and for the price and the features it was unbeatable. It's self righting which was huge for me as I suck at boating and I hate to swim . It came with a 60a esc and a 2850kv brushless motor. Through my research I came up with a short list of mods that I did right off the bat which pushed me to just over 40mph. I'd really like to see 50+mph out of it.

I adjusted the trim tabs just a hair and installed a 120a Turnigy Aquastar ESC running a 45c 2200mah 4S lipo. I also installed a 36mm 1.4 3 blade prop as the video I watched had these exact mods and the boat seemed very fast.

So after installing these items I tried it with the trim tabs on 3S and it barely set up out of the water. I switched to 4S and it wasn't a whole lot better. I put my trim tabs back on and tried it on 4S and it was much better. But like I said, I'd like to squeeze another 10-ish mph out of it. I'm aware that I have to keep the weight of my motor as close to stock as possible to retain the self righting feature. I ordered a 38mm 3 blade prop to try next but I was thinking about trying a different motor too. My operating temps are fine, everything stays very cool. I added another pickup to get even more cooling out of it in case I want to run multiple times in the same outing. I know absolutely nothing about boats so any help or comments would be greatly appreciated.
