A grandson of one of my clients fell for this. He literally called me from his seat on the plane to ask me if he should go through with the trip to Nigeria. I told him sure, and it was nice knowing him, make sure he writes out a quick will to give me any vehicles he owns since he'll probably never be able to get back in the country again.

He got off the plane and went to the local DA to see what they could do to help him save what was left of his identity. He had already given them a check and a copy of his driver's license and his SSN somewhere along the way.
