Install a scx10 II transmission in a scx10

Has anyone installed a scx10 II transmission in a scx10 and did you have to change the diff gears.

You won't have to change the diff gears, but if you're talking about the ii kit tranny then you'll need to drill new holes in your skid plate to accommodate.

I'd imagine you could also get the correct skid plate for that tranny and just use it. Either way.

It should mount in just fine, seeing as the SCX10.2 is offered with both the old tranny and the new. Just look at the differences between the kit and the RTR and change whatever's different on the kit than the RTR.
 
I don't see there is any advantage over the new SCX10 II Kit trans, If you're in AX10 trans now change not. Beside the goodness of the AX10 Trans can install dig if you wish to. :mrgreen:
