So, i didnt do a full build thread, since weve all seen so many. Im not sure if youd consider it a pro or an ultra, since im using f10 portals...

Got the pro body, chassis, link set n aluminum slider trays from twade. Snagged the front axle from the 4ws rig i built awhile back n ordered a new rear axle from rpp. Fricker built the vfd twin i dropped in.

Ive locked out the o/d in the 6% side n waitin on the nsdrc rs100 micro n adapter plate for the dig.

Paint should be here tomorrow. Picked up some light green, flourecent green, yellow, n silver tamiya. I plan to try my hand at hydro dippin this body. Ive been watchin yt vids on how-to, looks pretty easy. Goina use black n yellow in two different dips, then spray the fl green n back that with silver. The interior, i think the light green for the seats with black centers.

Sunday, i wired up some head n tail lights. Then i made up some green rock lights. Think ive got enuf for the task. White, red, blue, n geen. Happened to have some extra tail light pods, which worked perfect for the rock lights. Taped off where the pods were goina go, before paint. They shine thru really good n protected from debris slung up by the tires.

Speakin of tires, theyre PL hyrax ive had for a bit. Not sure what foams, i believe theyre CI lil novas, either way, theyre broke in really good. The wheels are VP 310 in the dark grey flavor, got alot of miles on them gems.

Electronics, im runnin a castle mamba x with a HH puller pro 2700kv motor. Goina run a HK hobbies 35kg direct power servo for now. Eventually i want to get another HH shv500...or 2 or 3 lol

Thats all i got for now, hope to have more tomorrow. Heres a few pics

Lookin' good bama!"thumbsup"

I'm excited to see how the hydro dipping works out. I've seen it done before and it looks cool! I've just been too afraid to try it out myself!

Excellent idea on the light pods for the rock lights! So simple and easy! Why didn't I ever think of that!:ror:

Following along to see more coolness!!:)

Well, got the paint in today. So i filled up my tote, grabbed a scrap piece n went for a test run. The black, rustoleum x2 kind, done pretty good, other than it didnt wanna swirl. So i tested out the tamiya paint n it didnt work to good. It wants to setup way to fast to get a dip started.

So i ditched that idea for now, may get another body to try out later on. So i began taping of some body lines. Think ill stick with the 2 tone idea, we'll see how the color choices fair. Its either lite green/fl green, yellow/lite green, or yellow/fl green. But then, which part gets which color...

We'll find out here shortly though...

Thanks tom! I cant wait to run it this weekend. Thought about another paint color. Mask it the same, but a dark red, maybe burgandy, n a carmel color. Make it look like a caramel apple lol

Oh, brian, utilize that light pod idea to your advantage. Kinda wish id put 2 more front n rear, so the shine both directions

Looks damn good! The green lights and green body give me vibes of the Green Lantern! It outta look great out on the rocks!

The light pods are a great idea and I'll probably add them to my Pro. The inner fenders are already painted black, so I'm thinking of just drilling a hole in them and adding a piece of clear lexan on the pod to keep the mud out of the LED.

Since the Phoenix already has light pod mounts in the front inner fenders, I'll probably use the extra pod lights on the rear and mount them to the cage somehow.

Looking forward to them pics out on the rocks!

Ill definantly be gettin some pics this weekend. Cant wait to run it! It looks even better out in the sunlight
