I have a bunch of large rocks from a landscaping water feature I took out. I think they’ll make a great course, I just don’t know where to start, or what would make a good course. The rocks are more flat than not, and roughly 18” X 24-36”. Anyone have some good ideas on how to utilize them?

Hey others have even better. But here’s some pics of mine that may lead to some inspiration.
Used lots of large rocks, as well as about 20 bags of concrete.

Of course, then I moved. But don’t worry, I tore it up and moved it all to my new place:) Just started putting “back together”.

Nice course fishcharger. I don’t think I want to use cement, but we’ll see. I reall like what it does for the course. What size rigs are those?

Nice, I’m not sure what I’ll end up with yet(currently completely Rc-less) my last was an axial wraith in full droop with a custom body with removable panels. Loved it. It’s almost time for a “new” one... or three. I love the TRX-4 and the scx iii... Well, any scaler really.... well any Rc I guess.

Also, my back yard at my new house is almost directly under large power lines. I’ve not had any RCs since moving here. Anyone know if the may interfere with the machine?

Cement doesn't have to look bad, i used it to make rocks in my front yard and nobody can tell they aren't real. Mostly I used cement because it's cheaper then buying rocks, and easier to work with if you have a mixer, plus you have more control over the lines you make.

For the natural rocks you just pile them up and rearrange them till you get some lines you like. What's his face from Canada had a long course of boulders, RCSPARKS.

My front yard of Concrete and a few boulders.

Nope - R/C vehicles run at 2.4GHz, no worries whatsoever - there are some R/C racing courses built directly under 660,000v powerlines going back years with now problems.

"thumbsup"

O it’s not that I don’t think it’ll look good (yours looks awesome btw) but I’m very indecisive, and having to clean up concrete at some point is particularly unappealing.

Awesome, I was hoping that it wouldn’t be an issue. Thank you.

I know this thread is a bit dated, but an idea struck me today. It may be quite beneficial to some of yall n could more than likely just cost u your time.

I work at a concrete plant, so it worked out to my advantage n the bosses lol. We had a crew come in n chip out the build up in the drums of our trucks. They cleaned 7 drums in 3 days, which is pretty good. They dumped them out in piles as they went along, which we've done ourselves. I seen the piles the mon afternoon when i got to the plant n it hit me, 'thatd b perfect'.

So today after work, i went to diggin thru piles of concrete rubble n debris. Ended up with a nice load n still have about half as much more to get yet. It benefits me because its free, its easily accessible, n i need it lol. N helps the boss man cause he dont have to try n bust up the big chunks or find someplace to get rid of it.

Wat in gettin at fellars is, perfect material for the course. Some have mentioned goin to home depot or lowes n askin about broken pavers or landscape stones. U can probably get them rather cheap, if not free.

U may try goin to your local concrete plant n ask if they have any clean out, not to b mistaken for washout. DO NOT get washout, its nasty, it doesnt set up, n when it gets wet its worse than mud. We call it clean out, its where theyve chipped out the drums. They may have some piled up somewhere, or can let u know wen they do. Theyll more than likely give it to u so they dont have to deal with it themselves. Worth a shot anyway, worst they can do is say no, right?...

Heres wat im talkin about...
