Yep, outlaw cell phones in cars. Then we outlaw eating or drinking in cars (like in England). More accidents are caused by adjusting the stereo, so lets get rid of them. Tons of accidents happen because people are yellin and smackin there kids in the car, so lets get rid of kids, or disallow parenting in cars. Hell, lets just ban talking to your passenger in the car!

Yeah, but let's keep giving kids a driver's license with only 3 months of driver's education and let's never make them prove they possess the skill to drive ever again. DL's should be like pilot's licenses...you should have to be trained and checked out on every type of vehicle you intend to drive in order to be allowed to operate them. Kids puttputt around in a Malibu while in Driver's Ed, then get turned loose with mommy's Suburban the day they get their DL.

I have a short drive to and from work (~5 miles). During that time (bumper to bumper rush hour traffic), I pass thousands of people on the road. It is rare that I see most of the actions that you mentioned. However, about every other car that I pass has some jackass yacking away on their "important" cell phone call. Just the other day I watched some yuppie soccer mom damn near smash her Explurgin into the concrete barrier on the side of the road because she wasn't paying attention.....she was on her cell phone.

BTW, I do regularly see a lady on my way to work that is putting on her eye makeup. I badly want to get in front of her and slam the brakes.....I would love to see that pencil jammed in her eye.
