Does anyone know for certain if this esc is compatible with 4-pole brushless motors? Been checking the specs but can’t find anything confirming this. Looking at it as a smaller, lighter esc option in a crawler running a 2200kv 4-pole sensored motor on 3s. I know Castle has smaller escs but I’d rather use one that’s programmable via a program box vs laptop. Appreciate any info from y’all fine gents!

Yes it is compatible with a 4 pole motor. I'm running a 3900 KV 4 pole motor with this ESC and have had no problems.

Fantastic! That’s what I was hoping to hear. What vehicle are you running this esc in? 2s or 3s lipo? My intensions are to use a 2200kv 4-pole motor that I recently bought, on 3s. Thank you again for the info!

I'm running this setup in a stadium truck on 2s.

I also had a 10bl120, (well 2) used it in an axial wraith on 3s. I used a 17.5 reedy sonic, worked ok, crawled well geared properly, but couldnt gear tall enough to have decent wheel speed (12 mph) and crawl well. Then i used a 13.5 in 3s, was better. I also tried a 1410 3800kv, worked great till i fried it. Little to high of a kv for 3s. I think 3000kv would be best for that esc, assuming you can get the gear reduction needed. Your choice of the 2200 should work great. The drag brake and the low speed start up is quite impressive considering its not really designed to be a crawler esc. I do recommend using an external bec on it, it'll help keep it cooler. Wouldn't be a bad idea to add a couple more caps on the esc on the battery wires. I used 2 470uf 16v ones. Oh i also have a spare switch for it somewhere incase yours ever breaks and you want a new one.

Im not sure what settings you need to adjust, but castle has a field card option that does a few things and the ESCd are also programmable via a smartphone

I already have other Hobbywing escs and 2 different program boxes for them. I am aware of the programming via Bluetooth for the Castle, which requires spending another $50 for the B-Link. I’m fine spending more money on a different esc, but I’m simply exploring an option that’s smaller on the chassis that’ll work for what I’m after, without having to buy extras.

I haven't done the Bluetooth option since to me having an expensive wireless adapter and multiple rigs doesn't make sense. I'd be plugging into each one anyway or buying a bunch of adapters.
Ive just use theESC link app and a USB OTG cable in a pinch, the rest of the time I have a small 7"windows tablet.
