I have the ax1 radio and reciever, I'm using the traxxas XL5 esc. My steering range and speed is limited. I can get my full range when I use my trim tabs on my radio. WTF? how can I get my range back without having to mess with my radio tabs??
Oh I got full range last week, It just happened over night.
Things I already tried.
-Tried several servos, All had limited range.
-Tried same servos on other truck and they have full range.

Where you say range do you mean throw, the amount of steering maximum left and right. If so try moving the link out on the servo horn that will give you more throw but, will reduce the torque applied.

When you did your "test" of the servo in another rig, did you use the same radio??

If not, the "problem" radio may have the EPA's (end point adjustments) dialed back, limiting the servo arm travel.

Trims tabs have to be used occasionally.

Did you go through the calibration process with the TX and the esc?

Also, the esc will not deal well if your tx has dual rate steering trim.

I had that problem trying to use an HPI Savage TX with a Traxxas Velineon esc.

I have the ax1 radio and reciever...

And there's your problem. A radio without adjustable end points won't push a servo to its physical limits. It'll do what it'll do, and thats it. There's nothing technically wrong with your setup.
