GTG at HobbyTown USA, Richmond, VA

I'm going to run off the assumption that there will be enough room for my 2.2. the only way I wouldn't show up is if I woke up with some contagious disease. or if I woke up dead. being dead does tend to make it hard to do stuff

How would you wake up dead? Im coming but not competing as my AX10 wont be here for antother 2-3 weeks

I'll be there pending confirmation with Joe. Might even have two rigs, an XC based 1.9 and the 2.2 I had at Zach's GTG although revamped slightly.

what rules are they following for the comp? i'm assuming the usrcca rules. i'm working on getting up there that day "to take my gf shopping". so hopefully she's willing to go. i doubt i'll have my r2d hooked up with moving to new house this month but maybe i'll roll with the stock ax10 instead...

Just guessing, the course will probably be too easy for more of a comp setup rig. Most likely will have more fun with the AX10. "thumbsup"
Bring a 1.9!

I saw the course when I was up there day before yesterday and you are right, it would favor a scale rig more than a comp rig, at least based on the obstacles I saw. there was one obstacle that would require a rig capable of going nearly vertical without tipping, but the rest looked like they would barely give a comp rig a need to strain. I'm really looking foreward to watching the micro-Ts buzz around their track. that would be a major hoot to watch.
does anyone know if we will have access to power outlets if we need to charge our batteries? I'd hate to miss part of the crawl due to my battery going flat. that would suck

has anyone been to htu since last saturday? if so, has the course been changed or added to at all?

Yes, it was not set up as of last Sat. It was worked on last night and will be worked on thursday night to finish it up.

I tend to think the course is more 2.2 comp and 2.2 scale. I believe the 1.9's will have a hard time. It looks easier then it is.

Where are the pics from last night? Put them in the competitions thread too.

ah, ok. when I was there it was basically just the obstacles sitting on a table. I agree with the dude asking for pics of it. can I has pics now?

Don't look like I'm going to make it. I had somebody steal a bunch of my stuff over the weekend, both of my radios a bunch of wheels and tires my TXT, boat, 18T, and my SW. My AX10 and my toolbox was in the Jeep.

HaPtOAD, that sucks dude. I hope the $#&*@'s get caught. anyway, that course looks pretty nice. I will definitely be there.
