Good in-depth tire reviews

This seems like an expensive undertaking.

Also quite difficult with all the variables - terrain, temperatures, foams (or 3d printed inserts), rubber compounds, wheel widths, truck weights, etc.

But certainly a case of more info the better if you're trying to decide on something new.

Glad to see someone attempt it though.

Say Ya to the UP! My friend who lives in Traverse City is headed up to Marquette today. Unfortunately he's not an RC guy (yet).

funny couldent find the tire reviews on that site
ill say this on the rock in the Mojave its hard to find a tire that dosent work mostly the softer compounds that dont work out here atleast on my overweight scalers

I'll agree that the rocks in the southwestern US make rock crawling a bit easier. Especially combined with the lack of water and the typically higher temperatures.

The rocks here not only have a grippy surface, but also usually have lots of hooks and bumps for tires to hold onto. We don't have much smooth rock here.

Where the east coast guys have mud, we have sand. Those are maybe a wash?

But for guys like me who live in the southwest, his tire reviews will probably be quite helpful.

He's a member here. i suck at remembering names.

His rocks are like sandpaper. These reviews definitely don't apply to everyone. They sure don't apply to the east coast terrain.
I used to crawl at some of the locations he uses. There's some slick rock and the while place often has a nice coat of sand/dust that makes even the sandstone kinda slick.

Great reviews on the canyon crawler channel on YT.
I cant watch that dudes videos. Too much incoherent rambling.

Agreed. 30-40 minutes is too much of my time on something that could be summed up in 5 minutes.

Colorado rock runs from full super grip to slick as moss. Best just after a rain that washes the dust off but still some rocks that are just super slick all the time.

The decomposed granite here is the tough part. Mostly a trail drive thing rather than crawling thing. Tires only help a little, mostly just need wheel speed and momentum.

You mean like 80% of post on this board 🤣
No, honestly, it's a bit much but at least he puts some data out ....that's something 😏
I can read fast and skim through posts to get useful info. Cant do that on a video. I'm thinking about buying a set of JConcepts Holds. He just did another video on them. Its 41 minutes. I just cant do it.

if the guy was using my rigs i might give some weight to his tests but he isent
i have tires that suck pickle balls on some rigs but are like glue on other rigs usually i can swap tires around to find the right combo of rig and tire and terrain
now days though i buy tires that i think wont dry rot after 6 months lol

Have you ever been there?🤡

What's your deal? You're the one acting like a clown. If you don't like what is being said here, you are free to leave. I'm not sure if it is a language barrier or what, but sometimes you don't even make sense. You do have good information to add when you're not being an ass, but that's only about 20% of the time. I warned you before. Drop the attitude.

Pretty sure he uses the same name on YouTube. If not, it is someone with the same attitude.

Play on 2x playback speed and advance through the video using the time bar at the bottom.

I still gave up watching crawler canyon even with that.

The world has become short attention span theater and I am not much different when it comes to youtube
