Goin back to my berg rebuild thread

testing done and i do have to say the rig just feel's differant! (in a good way) the rig seems to be more peppy and flow's a bit more than how i had it (weights in wheels), with that being said i have it to where i can quick change weights as needed, and i also still have my weighted wheel's for the brutal uphill breakover's that i need the wheels to help throw me over that edge, now in the following pic i think if i had my knuckle weights on it would've hurt me on this gate (the amount at wich they hang into the axle) as you can see i really had no room for error!

So I did a full comp with the dlux weights on yesterday and the drivetrain was too peppy off the bat so I had to adjust my trigger finger a bit
1st course blew it out my arse +16
2nd course -20
3rd course -29 had to take a reverse (went in a bit hot and almost tipped er)
4th course was par for the course +24
5th course was ok -9 had my mixing was off on the bonus dukes o hazzard jump
All in all I was happy with the rig I think I will put 1oz in each front wheel to get me back at the original weight I was at
All in all "thumbsup" to dlux for an awesome set of weights
More to come as I do a full teardown and install new bearings, lockers from rc bros , rebuild my br00ds and freshen up my super 300's and 6mm rears from ckrc, oh yeah and a new body for the norcal shootout
And a shootout to all who have either liked me or hated me you guys are what keeps me comin to all the comps

Glad to hear youre liking the weights.

Thanks for the props! You guys are the ones who make it happen.

so i did a little maintenance yesterday here's what it entails

tore down the front axle and found quite a bit of damage!

super 300's needed complete overhauling so i bought the rebuild kit for berg 300's and tore them down, polished em up,and put new pins and keeper's and collars and all i can say is  for $25 i got a new set of 300's LOL
next i found bearings that were totally gone, broken or turned into dust :lmao: so got's me some new acer bearings, lubed and installed where needed!

next up was gears, thoroughly cleaned and inspected gears, whew they're good but what's with the locker ? dammit that's almost totally rounded on the contact area for the axle!
so got me some rc bros solid locker's and installed the 4th gear and what a fit these locker's are there's no slop at all in the fitment!
next up was to put it all back together and it went together really well!

next is the rear :twisted:coming soon:twisted:

thanks goes out to rc bros, cow rc,mannomann, sds customs, for the quality gear's/locker's/parts and lubes/cleaner's you guy's produce!
