Host an event!

Francis (my dad) is still trying to figure out if he wants to host this spring or next fall, but take a look at the calendar, still a lot of open weekends.

https://www.google.com/calendar/embe...merica/Chicago

We still need a host for the following areas:
Kanopolis lake
Tutle Creek (ORV or below the dam if that area is still a rock heap)
Wichita

That's all I can think of now, but if you have cool terrian you want us to try out hit me up and I will reserve the date.

I would like to host the kanopolis lake event but we have a few events planned and hoping to make some other events like goat hill. I would like to make the kanopolis event a weekend thing. I have trailed hours at loders point and would like to set base in that area. One issue I have is I hate camping in hot weather nothing worse then waking up in a tent sweating. So I would think this could be late summer event. That leaves plenty of time for me to really think about it. My basic goal at moment is a laid back event that you can bring your family to lake and camp. I would really just like to see is a event where people could do what you want when you want and with whatever kind of rc you want. Give me some feedback on how you feel about my ideas.

That how dads will be and I agree, not all events should be comps. A social get together sounds great.

That sounds great! Though I have a couple crawlers, my buggy still needs to be driven... and without being at some sort of gathering, I'd be bashing by myself. So this idea sounds PERFECT!

The weekends of the 11th and 18th are open (KC was just rescheduled for June 1st).

I'm still kicking around August 4 for Topeka. I am going to be getting in touch with the county park service to check everything out and see if they can offer any assistance in the spot(s) I have picked out. Also, the hobby shop owner said he would throw in trophy support !!

The scene in Wichita has died. I know nothing about comps or hosting but would be willing to try something for late summer or fall.

I think we have pretty well decided not to worry about hosting any comps. If you have a cool place to crawl start a thread with the date and location. From there I will mark the calendar.
