::Gagak Rimang:: MATAYA - Boom Racing + Team Raffee Co. Defender 110

I see loads of lovely photos, using latest update Windows 10 Pro / Google Chrome browser.

I'm very pleased to read of the excellent support AsiaTees gave you!

I need to contact Boom Racing about defective aluminum Ascender front shock towers myself, not purchased from A-Tees, tho'...

Watching this build with great interest!

I had issues with my TF2. RC4WD's customer service dismissed it as normal. I didn't get any action until I moved up the chain and contacted somebody higher up at RC4WD by other means. And my TF2 has a lot of quality issues. So don't think that you would have gotten a better product or better service if you had ordered from RC4WD.

I still can't see your photos. Am I alone?

That's a bummer. I didn't have any issues with my TF2s, both normal and LWB. You may have gotten a lemon.

i see photos

Good to see you back building Gagak Rimang, I enjoyed your last build as well.

Thank you smog! It's funny and humbling to know that there is someone out there who enjoys my build!

Perhaps you can contact Jason Tsang from Asiatees? Maybe he can help. Let me know of the outcome!

Finally completed painting the doors and windshield.

1st layer of weathering done. Engine grease at places where mechanics may have touched the vehicle and where engine grease is suppose to be.
Painting them took more steps than I anticipated. Took 3 days to do 4 doors but patience always pays off.

It looks weird now with the foggy headlights. But the weathering I mentioned will be done in several stages and the foggy lights are a preparation to receive some weathering. Won't look right if you have some drift-shiny headlights and a muddy body.

Grease at the door handles. The mechanic and driver needs a lesson in personal hygiene!

Finally managed to finish painting the entire exterior of the body. Getting an even coat of paint on large areas of the defender expecially the roof takes patience and a number of passes.

Here's what she looks like now

The front

The back

The side

Black paint marker was used to line the windows.

A semi-gloss coat was then applied to remove the shine

Some greasy touches
