yeah .. im not expecting to keep my mini crawler stock for very long either. i'll try to give it about a 3 days of before i start modding. mainly just to get a feel for how the rig performs out of the box. the owner of my lhs is givin me a good deal to do a full write up on its stock form. so he can decide wether to push the product or not.

as for a dig, i think im gonna go w/ 4ws instead since my current rig already has dig and im gonna make this a tuber scalele project

then i don't think you'd be able to call it a losi mini crawler anymore. and yes probably too wide.

when I get mine, I'll run it stock for an hour or two to get the feel for it and then just mod what i find could be improved. Here is what I am thinking though... (in no particular order) slam the body, hc delrin links, steel, aluminum, or cf on all other links, tune the shocks (if necessary), maybe lower the chassis just a little, get the battery in a lower position, delrin skid.

First, though, I will have to see if orcrc is going to be having a 1/18 class and if so my rig will be modded/not modded according to the rules.

I'm just stoked to have a new platform to tinker with :D and being smaller than anything I have ever had, it will be a fun new challenge "thumbsup"

Plans...

I picked mine up on the way home last night from work, first to post I got it too.

First, move the battery, so it's fab a axial mounting plate and move the servo.

Second, look into 4-link, guessing at first glance more plate fabbing, and possbily have to do custom chasis plate to get links out of way of the motor bell.

Third, steering linkage, more custom tube work (only if beefy plastic breaks)

From there, it's a toss up

open up the 1/18th/1.9 class

there are some current crawler bodies that may actually look scale on this thing! ie, the grappler, XC-1, Helios, RockStar, C10 -1972 chevy, among others... its like a little clodbuster/OCM.. this thing is going to be crazy!

im looking into the future...

haha i have a 3s in my losi mini-lst with a electrifly ammo engine (28mm diam x 45mm long at 3600kv and the thing is a BEAST with torque, I cant imagine a lower KV motor on a 3s haha, youre going to break some serious parts.

Gustav shut me down today, so I was crawling over some bags of dog food and cases of pop in the garage, and I took the preload spacers off the front and moved them to the rear and could tell a difference.

how bout some wieght on the wheels, real beadlocks, memory foams, lipo batt, and a proline helios cralwer body???

I didn't buy one yet but after the boss was gone I opened one up and charged the battery! bia!!! lol that little thing can perform I would deffinately move the battery and probably put a hs225 by hitec (the same one for the dna digs). I also looked at the axles under a couple differnt scale bodies and those axles would be super extra scale. "thumbsup" I also was thinking if you wanna stay 1.9 you could probably use the mlst bodies like the bronco.

I am deffinately getting one come pay check day

Gettin mine tomorrow, got the parma lexan midnight pumpkin body and rc4wd landie alum rims with soft crushers! Mini scaler! "thumbsup"
