this got to be asked in the newbie section :mrgreen:
can the futaba 3pk use the 4 channel receiver? what do i need to change? module/RX? can anyone point me to the right direction??

for info, my 3pk now currently using the spektrum pro 2.4Ghz with its own receiver too ... and there's no 4 channel slot like i see for the 4pk...

just wondering... thanks to any reply :oops:

if your using the Spektrum setup, you can only use the spektrum RX's and the only ones that will work with ground transmitters are 3ch. If you were using the FM you could use the hitec or novak I can't remember 4ch receivers, but you still only transmit 3ch so the 4th channel is taking up space, and can't be used.

thanks slobin ... i guess im stuck with this 3channel rx then. i dont know whether that's good nor bad :oops:

im wondering if in the future i wanna use 2 esc .. will my 3channel rx handle it... :?

steering => 1st esc
throttle => 2nd esc
batt => ???
Aux aka 3rc channel => ???

now im confused ... even after looking at Harley's instruction with his 4pk setup with 2 esc ...

anyone.. pls shed a light here to electric newbie :oops: :mrgreen::mrgreen:

if your looking to do a dual motor dual ESC setup, you can wire both ESC's off your throttle channel, although you won't have seperate control so its rather pointless unless your using cheap ESC's that can't handle running 2 crawler motors. If your looking to do dig, you can do dig with dual motor single esc easily with a small servo on the 3rd channel and micro switches, and I believe there is a company that makes a little circuit board that does the same thing too.

thanks again slobin...
yep i have a MOA kit and the dual esc setup looks so interesting n challenging. I know it can be done with 4pk ... just wondering if 3pk can too.

The company u talking about i believe is the punkrc ... tghey have this awesome dig system miniboard ...

after reading alot here in this forum ... especially on Harley's 4pk setups here http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=136728

I managed to do the program mix 1 & 2 for rear steer and activate the dig ... i think this futaba 3pk is good enough for crawling..... nice nice :mrgreen::mrgreen:

thanks slobin for spending time to explain "thumbsup"
