FMS 1/10 licensed Toyota LC80.

The front wheel arches on the FMS are kinda off-putting as they have a weird transition in the peak of the arches, but the rig as a whole looks nice.

After a littler further research, I decided to look up the FCX10 chassis and the axles or what they used on the K5 chevy, and that has a bunch of cooler features.

Comparing the LC80 to the K5 for $100 more on the K5: dig, portal axles 4x4, rwd, I think I'd get the Chevy and sell of the body and put my Hardbody LC80 on it and come out the same $ wise maybe?
I'm certainly buying the roof rack and the rear ladder to try out on mine.

I am contemplating selling my Tacoma and getting a 96 80 so a 1/10 version would be a must have as well. Looking forward to seeing more about this model.

There's a Pro version coming ... brushless, K5 portals, RWD/4WD/FWD transmission, new color ...

Ha, that's funny, wouldn't you know it! I mention the K5 chassis/drivetrain, and sure enough they have a new release with it under the lc80 a week later.

Too bad they didn't keep the straight axles ... portal training wheels is a thing nowadays but it's a bit boring.

Do a straight axle conversion and keep the locking feature. The few pictures I was able to find of the standard lc80 axle, it appears to be the same housing as the portal axle with lockouts and a chub/knuckle up front.

*EDIT
A review of the standard lc80

Yes the center part is common and I've already planned to buy the missing parts ... just waiting to get the truck before as nobody checked the transmission to see if it's setup for RWD/4WD/FWD or DIG/4WD/FWD or else (it's missing the servo but on some vids and manual, there's the corresponding actuation lever).

This video shows great details of the axles BTW :
