FlySky FS-NB4 - ambidextrous pistol grip

I just wanted to do a little role call on who has this radio by now!!! I did the latest update this week and now have the ability to have over 8 channels. Up dating was a very easy task, and after update I re-flashed my four RX and re-bound them and they all work great! I have 2 of the micro RX and they are really going to work good keeping the weight down in in my G-Speed builds.
This is a great radio, and with the touch screen is so easy to set up and program.
I thought maybe we could do info sharing on here now that a few of us are sporting this radio. I found there is a bunch of youtube support now! Anyone else have anything to add? "thumbsup"

Well I'm a righty but I like my surface radios as a lefty. This is why I am interested in this radio. I'm a Spektrum guy for aircraft and would be for surface, but the handed switchable steering tx's they had are all discontinued. Same with Futaba. :!::|

I'm wondering if there are any problems using this radio when in the presence of a mix of others such as in a race, I saw some text warning about that. Sorry if i missed anything about that - I read the first couple pages and then skipped to that last two.

FlySky radios have had that rap since Losi Kid first started hacking them and people started using them at the tracks. Mainly unfounded.
I used my Noble at the last Proline By the Fire event with over 500 drivers there and had zero problems. Hope that helps you feel a little more confident in getting one! For the money I don't think you can buy a better radio. It is soooo easy to program and set up! "thumbsup"

With this radio do you have the ability to use the knob to control the Front ant Rear ESC mix like a Sanwa MT4 on a MOA setup?

Not sure about that, I have mine setup for rear steer on my LMT but haven't tried any other mixing. You might check out your question on Youtube and see if some one has the answer for you. Sorry I can't answer your question. "thumbsup"

I've been using the Noble for about a year now and I'm continually impressed with it. Granted, the most expensive TX I used before the NB4 was a Spektrum DX5C (which I gave to my son). Another plus for the NB4 is the RX's are pretty damn cheap in comparison to the Spektrum ones. Programmability and navigation of the menus is also super easy without the use of a manual to figure things out.

I did the newest update to my radio & rx's last night, I also ordered more rx's to fully implement this radio into my fleet. I had been waiting for this update and rx availability. It looks like they enhanced this thing a lot. "thumbsup"

What radio were you using prior to this one? Just curious as a comparison. Thanks! "thumbsup"

I have 2 Hacked GT3c that have been my go to radios for a few years. When I was racing I used Airtronics and Futaba. "thumbsup"

Just figured out how to set up a winch on the NB4, so I made a little tutorial video: https://youtu.be/_z87EXPSNx8

My setup uses channel mixing and slowing down the servo timing to use the SW2 & SW3 switches as momentary winch switches. A 1.0s servo timer tames the winch action in case of accidental bumps. Hopefully others can find this helpful.

Main reason why I havent changed to the Noble or even stock it is because of the Winch capability.
Seems there are ways around it
But you would think that Flysky knows it will be used by crawler folk and will need a winch at some point.
So one would think they would just have it work out of the box.

Hi,
the new Flysky Noble Pro 18ch is out and should ship end of the week.

18 ch, 2 rx mode, smartphone holder, wireless charging...

Manual download (PDF)

Price nearly twice as high as the old Noble...
If they do not update the old one to 18 ch, then they probably will sell it. But if you can update the old one (hopefully) to 18 ch.. then it is far too expensive.

Looks like they are planning to continue selling the Noble NB4 alongside the Noble Pro, and they are listing it as being 8 channel vs the Pro 16 channel:

Pro is even 18 channel.

They had announced to bring updates for the Noble NB4 for 18 channels, but now they will not do this anymore (mentioned on Facebook).

How to connect more than 1 receiver to the Noble NB4:

Fortunately 8 channels seems like the sweet spot for scale crawler. I think the Pro is over done, and will not be replacing my current Noble. "thumbsup"
