Well I am a car/truck enthusiast, I am going to be enrolling in college for diesel.
Well I have wanted an RC car since I was about 8 and alot of my friends randomly starting buying them so I am finally making the move to buy one myself. I have the SCX10 Honcho on layaway at hobby town in Rockford Illinois. I don't have a great job so this is the only way I can get what I want sadly.

So as a start I bought the Pro-line Cherokee body a few days ago and I just finished her up today.

I am an RC noob so any important info feel free to let me know.

one thing I need to figure out is what to change the suspension link size to to run the Cherokee body on the honcho.

pics of my body finished (for now)

Body is looking good. Like phantom said there's extra links in the kit, once you get the honcho home check it out. I think you're gonna be surprised at how capable the honcho is with some careful line selection.

thanks thats great news! lol that will make things much simpler. just got to keep making payments first lol.

what battery should i run with the RTR?

I run 91mm links in the rear (lowers). I'm not sure what the uppers are. I think the front is 91mm as well. Mine started as a Dingo, it has the OEM links on it still. Fits perfectly.

Nice job on the body.Go lipo, lots of good batteries and good prices.Get 2 3000 to 4000 mahs packs and your good for hours.

You can run lipo with the stock honcho. Just dont do what i did, i throw a 4s lipo in the rtr and she didnt go far! LOL

i run 3s 1500 mah lipo's in my ttc rig and it does fine for an hour or so. The comp rig gets 2s 1000 in it and goes about same time.

well im still making payments sadly lol. i cant wait to get it home and start modifying it.

my current plans will be:
lipo battery
mount my XJ body
mud slingers
rc4wd black stamped 1.55 wheels
and soon after start upgrading plastic parts to metal... lol I can only assume much breakage will occur.

and all while I wait my friends are having fun (sad) lol

If I ever get around to converting to LiPo, we should hang. I work for a municipality, and have free reign to our construction yards... Sand, gravel, rocks, mud, boulders, pipes, bricks, blocks... Mountains of material... It's an RC crawlers playground.

Too busy spending money on my 1:1 Comanches at the moment though.
