Fallin Apart's BWD 'Low Pro' Wedge Build

Yeah, Don and I are gonna have a little talk about which direction I'm going with the new 2.2 build. If 2.2S can get started around here, I'd really like to build one of them now that it's an officially sanctioned class. I just like the simplicity of the shaftys, guess that why I love the mini class so well.

I got the parts laying around!

Nice looks like a lot of fun :) poor Caleb he's the only one without a mini wedge low-pro....

It's a Mini Wedge, just not the Low-Pro. It does so well the way it's set up that it's tough to justify changing it over. "thumbsup"

This is actually my 2nd rig (both BWD) since winning last year. My regular Mini Wedge far outperformed my "old" rig without even tuning it. The Low-Pro feels just a bit better than the standard Mini Wedge (to me), but it's really close.

Dave you have had so many 1.9s it's hard to keep track :ror:

also went out and practiced a little with the mini on my little course and here are some pictures

Looks like it's time to break out the JB Weld again that makes twice now where the srew got pulled out of the rodend

Oh I still have them all, they're just in various stages of dismantling from having parts robbed from them. Gotta keep a good supply of spares, you know! Guess I really should break down and sell 1 or 3...

Forget the JB Weld, put a new rod end on with a longer set screw. I got several different lengths of M3 set screws off the Bay. Always a handy thing to have.

I'm not even going to ask if you used the grub screw this time....

Sorry, couldn't resist that last one, champ!

Had our latest comp this last Saturday and ended up taking 1st with the mini and had a great time out there until the last course in 2.2 where my xr went for a swim.

Had a great time out at Fassnight Park. The rocks there are really nice, with some wicked tough lines. All 3 classes had awesome courses, plus there was plenty of shade to help with the heat. We decided we liked it well enough to take advantage of the shade again for our next comp in August. We had a new driver, Blake, who tried out one of our 1.9 rigs and did really well with it. We're looking forward to seeing him again soon!

5. Caleb/Captain of Crunch...-10,20,5 total 15
6. Raymond/r4x4rcbowl...28,36,28 total 92

1.9 CLASS:

2. Caleb/Captain of Crunch...26,-15,-9 total 2
3. David/papabash...28,-16,-9 total 3
