I have a Hobbywing 1080 with a Spectrum DX5C controller. This is a new set-up. I have it binded and calibrated but had no reverse, steering and forward are OK, all trims at 0. When I increased brake trim to over 40 my reverse came back, more trim faster reverse. No reverse at 0 setting. Is this normal, kinda new at this stuff. Thanks

It is a bit counter intuitive but your brake trim as its displayed on the main screen should be set to 100, think of this as setting it to zero.

You can adjust the programming on this ESC to reduce power in reverse, its setting 6 and can be set to 25% 50% 75% or 100%

Reviving this old thread, does anyone know how to disable the brake trim adjust on the DX5C? I have my servo winch on switch F, which is the default brake trim. Now when I use the winch, I am also adjusting the trim?!?

I'm fairly sure you cant change the brake trim button (F). You'll probably need to use a different button.

If you want to use A or B those are set as steering and throttle trims but you can go to the trim setup menus and move those to different button which has to be a button thats A-D.

I find it easy to hit the A or B button with my steering hand without having to reposition my hand.

Yeah. I switched it to E and set up the dig in G. E is a little tight to get to, so maybe A will work better. Thanks for the reply!
