New to RC Rock crawling and was wondering if some of you Droopers out there have any suggestions on how much of the lower half of the shock is exposed . I am runnin a 50wt oil atm and a internal light spring but i feel the shock is too compressed and i see none of the piston at all if anyone has feedback or suggestions that would be a big help thanks

fuel tubing should do the trick

i went back to almost a stock set up, semi droop

the full droop caused me to bottom out to much

By lower half of the shock do you mean the shaft? It shouldn't show unless your flexing. I am confused by the piston part too, the piston is inside the shock body and isn't visible unless the shock cap is removed...

Shaft

Yes i mean the shaft part of the shock is completely inside the body of the shock i am runnin a 1/4 inch of fuel tube on the bottom for a bump and some clearance but i feel that is too much fuel tubing. And to reply to the other one what is a half droop setup and how does that work

Half droop uses spring both above and below the piston, helps on clearance but still give the low CG of droop. It works quite well if setup correctly.

I have mine sitting so the links are level, just a small zip tie around each shock shaft right now. Seems to work pretty well but I ran out of battery and time before work to test it on my real rock pile. Currently no internal springs as they haven't arrived in the mail yet and I need to bum some oil from my buddy to do that anyway. I did drag belly a bit, but that doesn't bug me.
