Now that I have your attention here is my addition to the S class:ror:

This truck has actually been built and competed with for the better part of a year. I have had a blast driving it and look forward to this season. When I started in this hobby I had a Losi for a very short time and went to MOA pretty fast so I never really had the pleasure of learning how to drive one of these beast.

My best finish with it was 3rd at battlegrounds.
I got 11th at 2012 ECC and 9th at 2012 Natonals

The real reason for this re-build is to make it drive better so I can beat Mindless if he ever comes back to a national comp

I will start with listing the how the truck sits now. Over the next upcoming weeks before ECC I will make some changes and update this thread. I wont be breaking any new ground after seeing all the killer Pro level builds already in this section BUT I will be taking some of those ideas for my build:twisted:

My goal with this thread is to document, improve and lighten the truck to keep up with the courses being built and to have a bunch of continued with crawling.


How she Started:

Chassis

• Tie moon buggy shafty delrin chassis
• T1e front and rear delrin 4 link plate's
• T1e high clearance rear links
• Delrin front lower llinks
• Delrin front and rear upper links

Transmission/driveline

• Ax10 transmission with 2 plastic upper gears and Robinson racing one piece output gear
• 87 tooth spur gear
• Stock Axial motor plate
• MIP drive shafts front and rear
• Front axial axle with stock gears
• Front long beef tubes
• XR10 axle shafts
• Axial aluminum C hubs
• Plastic XR10 knuckles
• Rear Axial axle with stock gears
• Aluminum lockouts
• stock shafts

Electronics

• 35 turn Holmes Hobbies torque master motor with a 14 tooth pinion
• Tekin FXR
• CC BEC set at 7.4 volts
• Hitec 7950 steering servo
• Futaba 603
• Futaba 4PK
• Gens ace 450 lipo

Wheel set one

• Vanquish DH2 front
• Vanquish DH narrowed to 1" rear
• Nova old school med foams front and rear and Sedonas

Wheel set two

• Vanquish DH1 front
• Vanquish SLW rear
• Nova med Duel stage foam with shaved Sedonas

Shocks

• 3.5" big bores front and rear
• 45 weight oil front and rear
• Losi pink springs front and rear

Since battlegrounds


At Battlegrounds I busted my plastic XR knuckle driving the finals course so I did pick up a pair of Vanquish C hubs wraith knuckles from the East Coast RC before I left OH (thanks Ryan). I did change them out before nationals and added a XR TI tierod.



With my heaviest setup she is 6.20 LBS

I have quite a few changes in mind and will post some updates this week. I have already spent a bit of my PayPal funds. I will have some of these changes from the post man soon.​

The first pile of upgrades showed up today:twisted: I will start the changes tomorrow after work.

• VP lockers
• VP XR10 VVD's
• VP TI liniks to be bent up
• VP TI steering links
• VP steering arms
• VP SLW hexes
• VP XR10 knuckles. I my stick with the Wraith knuckles I have but Im trying to work out the best BTA steering so I wanted to look at it with both kind of knuckles.

My axial Overdrive and Underdrive gears showed up as well.
