Hi everyone,

I'm new to crawling and to this site, and I LOVE IT!!!

My Favorite Body shape is the Defender, so I got the Dingo as a stepping stone.

I was so excited, I built it in 9 hour!

Here are some pics!

Here are some pics as it started transforming into a "Defender".

I've moved my electrics into balloons and to the back of the "Landie". The Battery is mounted just behind the front shocks.

The Ali roof seems a bit top heavy, I noticed it on the off camber stuff. I will do the comps without the roof.
Can harder springs sort out the problem, or it it just that the weight is to high from the ground???

MODS So Far:

Relocated Battery lower down, just behind front shocks.
AX10 Drive shafts in the front
Hitec Hi Torque servo
Lifted the bumpers
Trimmed the bumpers
Waterproofed the electrics with balloons and grease.
Diffs with grease and Servo with Dip It spray.

Had the "Landie for 3 days now and can't stop.

I've relocated the battery with some custom brackets.

No body clips, using velcro. FYI, Dont use the 15kg ones, its near impossible to get the body off!!

9 hours to assemble? Damn.

I just picked up a dingo kit for my fiancee, gonna build it tonight. Any tips on it? Last kit I put together was 10+ years ago and it was a traxxas rustler. This looks a little more involved lol. I have an ax10 and I've stripped the diffs before, so not too concerned about that part of it. Looks good man!

Its not to bad to build, but the thing that takes the most time is finding the parts you need. And the manual never shows you how to 4 link the rear suspension. Only after the first outing I realized the sound coming out of the rear diff what because of the angle of the prop shaft. I then saw some pics of other SCX10s with 4 link and coppied the picks as there were no instructions.
It still doesn't seem pefect, but the noise stopped. I'll just upgrade to ali links later.

Awesome score! "thumbsup" I love that body shape as well. In fact, saw one for sale in Bristol (TN) a few miles from here earlier today (a 1:1 obviously...a rare bird,I've only ever seen a couple in person),LOL,my wife said "You're NOT buying that with the tax refund!" :lmao: Cool build, can't wait to see more of it

I don't have it in my manual, because I don't have those parts! That sucks big time!
And also, the 3 link I got in the kit doen't look like the one in the manual you just told me to check. It is a one piece 3 link that I got, not one that you have to assemble. What do I do now???

Also look at the angle of the diff and prop shaft.

Thank you very much, I'll have a look at them.

I've got a spacer in the gear box that I didn't fit because I could understand where the hell it does! Can anyone help on this issue please?

I recently built a Dingo kit and that spacer didn't fit inside the 2 output halves either. I assume it's there mainly to help maintain alignment. I ended up assembling the tranny without it and all has been working fine these past couple weeks. I imagine you'd only run into problems over time if you run the truck really hard. If you happen to bugger up that gear down the road, it would be good reason to upgrade to the Robinson Racing metal gear.

I want to fit them but don't really know what they do. Some pics would also be great as I live in Deepest Darkest Africa, so I might make them myself if not to involved.
