And, it's now back up on the bench....

The Scale 4Runner, whats left of it thus far...

Axial Frame rails, stock rear axle, transmission
Hobbypark Skid plate,
9imod 1800kv motor,
Reefs Triple 5 steer servo,
Sanwa Receiver,
Incision rear driveshaft,
Team Associated Element IFS front end - To be replaced with the IFS v2,
Incision front shotks,
Traxxas TRX4 rear shocks.

To do:
Sliders,
Rear Bumper w/ Tire Carrier,
New body,
Figure out running weight, so I can get proper shock springs front and rear,
Lots of odd n ends to make it right.

Again, was trying to copy this (which was limited at the time, as I couldn't find a 3rd gen 4Runner body anywhere, and still can't at least not in 1/10 scale):

Oh right... This money pit...

Small updates:
It now has an Element Enduro chassis, along with the Element IFS v2, a new rear bumper, and an Xtra Speed rear aluminum axle housing so I could flip the ring gear over to reverse the drive direction to match the IFS.

Progress is still slow. Other projects in the works are taking priority.

Idk if you'd be interested in a printed body, but if you absolutely wanted a 3rd gen, you could order one through MFab on IG. I think he's based in Japan and he does have a website. If you didn't already know, there's a crap ton of prep work to make the body look legit but end results are usually jaw dropping. Would never ever want to roll it!

I ran across some photos of their work a few days ago, and its' really creeping up my list of needing to buy.
For those that may be looking as well: 4runner 3rd gen on Strikingly
Now I do believe, since MGFab is based in Japan, that's the Japan OEM model (generally referred to by those in the US as the "Toyota Hilux Surf"). Noted by the hood scoop and rear air deflector - Where as only the "Sport" model in the US had the hood scoop, and all US models had a simple metal blade for the rear air deflector.

Basically when I'm done, it's going to be a shelf queen in my office, and probably only see indoor use around the house when stuck on a customer call. So model quality will be fine in the end. It's also why this thing isn't going to be decked out hardware wise or a real budget killer compared to some of my other rigs.
