Okay, here are some pics of Saylorville Lake were gooba took me on the 28th. It has miles of places to crawl. One more good thing is it is 15 minutes off the interstate and there in parking right next to the rocks. No more loading the cart to hike to a crawl spot.

These last 2 pics are of rocks that are between 2 and 6 foot in size.

Here are some pics of gooba and myself crawling, it is a great place to go.

It was misting and about 40* out but still fun. I would really like to get a bunch of guys out there to crawl.

Thanks for looking;-)

desmoines crawl

it really was pretty fun and we even had carnage to report rd400 broke a driveshaft and i tore a tire off the bead and the bead tore apart. im hopin i can rig it till i get my new lsts but i may be crawlin on bowties till then if i cant get it patched

Ya, an aluminum drive shaft. It makes a cool noise when they snap:twisted:

any word on crawling this weekend yet? i heard its supposed to be nice and id hate to waste it

The wife has to work all weekend so I am sure I can make it:twisted:. I told her I was going up next weekend on the way back to Omaha last night. She pouted and whined because she wants to come. A good way to come up there even more.

looks good weather wise cold but sunny and no rain or snow. 41 is supposed to be the high sat and 36 sun mostly sunny both days and the only precip all week is a chance thursday

Sound good gooba, and your location, rocklessville? Try Omaha, you live in rock meca compared to this place:flipoff:

lol thats from when i was in nashville. i lived in like the only part of tennessee that wasn covered in them. we had like 3 within 10 miles. but yeah we should defenetly go crawlin this weekend. i also have a way into the locked areas although slitghtly illegal it worked at the bmx track in between weddings.

if your guessin what i happened upon my dads old firefighting gear and found a nice set of brandnew fire dept boltcutters. they make short work of any padlock or chain

Wow, don't need to have to call the wife 150 miles away to come bail me out of jail. The places that are open are more than enough;-)

hey gerame my roomie just pointed out that in the 11th pic it looks like your front tires are smoking. kinda cool really

Yes I know I'm bring this thread back from the dead. But I'd be interested in finding some people to go crawling with. New to the area and started this hobby.

Holy way back from the dead. There are still a couple of us scattered throughout town we just kinda crawl when we can. Where abouts are u in town?

Making my way back to the area temporarily. Is there a group in the area? Or is it just a few people? Went to Saylorville once last summer smoked a motor but had a good time.

There's not a group that gets together on a regular basis. I know there's guys with crawlers as I see their parts at the LHS we just can't seem to connect

Looks good! From Des Moines here also. A group of 3 of us usually take ours to the other side of the dam. Some fun rocks on that side too (depending on water level of the lake).

Would be fun to have a des moines crawling event.

I'd be happy to just have someone else to crawl with.
