For you Denver or (Colorado Folks in general). What is your recommendation for a good hobby shop in south denver. I live in colorado springs and all we have is 2 Hobbytown locations. Both of which have stopped carrying tamiya stuff, are overpriced, dont carry a lot of parts and generally a bad shopping experience.

Since I live in the springs, I would prefer shops in south denver, but if there is a decent shop further north, I would be willing to drive.

Thanks!

I also live down towards Co. Springs. First, you may want to go to the Hobby Town on Academy and Woodman. Talk to Bernadette and tell her what you need. She can get you anything, quick. Also, tell her that you are on this website. If you don't want to go that route, I think that Rocky Mountain RC Hobbies is the best place for parts.....if you can put up with the dorks that work there. It is on County Line Rd.....about 5 miles west of I-25.

I second the recommendation for Rocky Mountain RC, but digler is right they are kinda dorks. Bob's Hobbies on University doesn't have near as much but more than once I've asked to order multiple sets of something as I know they'd sell and they've followed through. They ordered several CJ8 and FJ40 boddies when they were discontinued and they just started stocking Moab 2.2s based on our recommendation. I made the same recommendation to Rocky Mountain and they just blew me off.

yeah, Rocky Mountain RC is good because they have tons of stuff. lots to choose from. but when it comes to rare parts or recomendations they don't know anything besides Mini-Ts and Helicopters.

Bob's Hobbies is great. i've been going there since i was 10 and bought an estes rocket. Jeff is into anything that involves RCs and will help to build anything you think of. one of the members here dropped off a video of some crawling stuff and they play it all the time.

For a while....I thought that Jeff was actually "Bob"

You're right though. If it has a radio and reciever, Jeff gets excited.....specially if it's a KO Propo radio and reciever.

I resent that! I work there and we are ALL way coolerer then you will every be!

I've been going to Bob's since I was a whee lad myself. Jeff is a great guy and always willing to help. Had okay luck with Colpar, but nowhere near the level of service I've gotten from Jeff. There's a Colpar at Hampden and Wads and one up by Buckingham Square somewhere.

If I can get it at Bob's, I will.

I went to Rocky Mountain RC yesterday loking for a some universal servo horns for my 805bb and 1 90 degree horn for my steering setup along with a couple of other stuff.. and i got this  :| ... I will only continue to do my business over at bobs hobby with Jeff (the tall older skinny guy). They dont nessisaraly carry much product that suits us but if you need it he will take the time to look up the Part numbers and order them up for ya. no questions asked... in fact im heading there tomarrow to get a novak regulator for my servo and some tlt stays for the suspenion for my "project" along with some other parts... i had em all chosen on towerhobbies and then found out that they dont take Amex... well ssspppptttt!!! im takin my business to Bob's. Arapahoe and University in Littleton. A+++ If you stop in ask Jeff to show you his Auto start system on his Tmaxx/Savage (cant tell what it is)... its pretty cool.

I was sick one week and compiled every rock crawling vid i had and burned it to VHS, its like over 4 HRS long, so, Jeff always helped me out so i dropped off a copy for him... I had a copy for Rocky Mountain RC but they looked at me like i was talking  quantum physics  ... im sooo done with RMRC. If you dont have a helicopter, miniT,savage,or a Maxx... dont go there.

yeah, everytime i'm in there buying tires for my clod or paint and a body i always say it's for my savage and they nod in approval. the one time i said it was for my clod crawler, they just gave me dazed looks.
