Hi all,

Been bashing rc buggys a while but always fancied a rock crawler and have just ordered a traxxas trx4 assembly kit

https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/traxxas-trx-4-premium-unassembled-chassis-kit-425424

So question I have is about the body, spec says its a 313mm and I like look of the fastrax ranger XL Landrover body, will this be a straight fit? As I have read lots of posts about having to cut inner wheel arches, don't fancy doing that on a brand new model!

If it doesn't, could anyone recommend any highly detailed bodies like this?

Thanks šŸ˜Š

dont worry about cuting the inner fenders you can always get new ones cheap same with just about every part on the trx4

any time you fit a body like that its gona be some compramises some cutting and some fabrication not a big deal
most bodys will take some kind of modifying to fit right but thats what makes it your rig

And once you slice those inner fenders a bit, it won't be brand new anymore! Problem solved.

In all seriousness, the first cut / scratch / dent is what a crawler needs. Once you get that out of the way, you're off to the races. After that you'll be coming up with more modifications than you can currently imagine.

The inner fenders probably won't need a ton of trimming either. And more good news, if you ruin them, you can just order a fresh set from Traxxas.
