Hmmm, i'd have forgotten about all the bling and gotten a new ESC, BEC, Holmes motor, tires and for $63 all alum body panels including the hood and roof from advancedmetalfabs.

Not real sure how that hood hinge mod will work with a windshield - may have to notch out the windshield where the hinges for the hood go.

Nice servo though.

Dont care for the aluminum body panels, Working on upgradeing the drive system. Havent decided on either the Castle sidewinder 3600 or go the Holmes route.
Bling? What Bling? I wouldn't say that VP parts are Bling. More a necessity.
I bought the RTR Wraith for the electrics to go in my 1.9 RC4WD 4-link Jeep chassis I am also building and had planned on changing them out anyway. But it takes time with life getting in the way and taking all the Toy money.
I am a big time Noob to RC. But have built and flown a lot of CL Pattern in PAMPA and the AMA. Just no room to build with Balsa anymore.

For electronics, I have a Mamba Max Pro with a Tekin Pro4 3300KV motor and its the best of both worlds!!! I can crawl all day or scream down the trails and I never have overheating issues!!! It is pricey but well worth it in my opinion!!!

Just saying for all the bucks spent - you say you have a boring Wraith. unfortunately it will remain that way till you change the esc, motor, tires.
all the VP and CKRC is not a necessity - at least from the severe bashing and crashing I've done with mine. Not broken a single stock part.

Be sure and do the drive shaft mod and move the battery to the front if you have not already.

Good luck.

Got out today into a creek bed with some rocks & hills,"thumbsup"
OK Love it!
Currant mods:
Battery forward
7/32 piano wire in drive shaft splines
softer springs
Lowered rear shocks

Hi-Tec 7955TG servo works fine with NO BEC
(I got a Castle BEC Just haven't installed)

Problems with the RC4WD 2.2 Twisters,
They would not seat fully onto AXIAL Wraith Hex Hub
Found center hole too small
Drilled and counter sunk, now fit
Overall Love the wheels
