colorado springs weekly comps/trail runs?

Thank you to everyone that attended the toys for tots event at palmer park. We had a great turn out and collected 23 toys to donate. Which means 23 children will get a present for Christmas this year.( golf clap ) Thank you very much for all the volunteers that helped out today and to the pueblo crew for making the trip up. The name held on the extreme course, as I do not believe any teams finished the forty gate course in the allotted 45 mins. I will post the standings tomorrow on how we placed on the extreme course. But I believe the only winners today are the children. Thanks again and I hope everyone had a good time.

Bo prob. They can delete. I wasnt aware of that rule That link dont work on my iphone. Ill try now when i get home. Thanks

be sure to fully read the bst (buy/sell/trade) rules so you know what you need to do to avoid having your post deleted. "thumbsup"

Since no one finished the extreme team course in the allotted 45 minute time limit, everyone takes the max penalty points which is 400 for the course, minus gate progression completed at the 45 minute mark or if you dnf because of breakdown.
1. Tony/Steve 33 gates = 332
2.cy/David 32 gates = 334
3. Cody/tater 28 gates = 344
4. Rick/George 26 gates = 348
5. Mike/josh 25 gates = 350
6. Brandon/Joe 5 gates = 390

We got some great input for future extreme team events. Next one will have 2-3 courses with ten gates with a little more time to focus. Again thank you to all the volunteers that made the first "toys for tots" event such a huge success. We have over 250 dollars worth of toys to donate in the name of all crawlers in our state. Just received an email from a Cub Scout master that we met on the trails. We must of made a great impression. He is asking if we would like to do a presentation to his cub scouts. Here is the email I received. If anyone is interested lets get together for a brain storm. Hi,

I ran into your club on the trail at Ute Valley a couple of months ago. It was awesome seeing twenty crawlers coming around the bend in the trail and my kids still talk about it. I see RC in our future, probably next summer for my youngest who is my rabid RC fan.

I am the Cubmaster for our Cub Scout Pack in Rockrimmon and I was wondering if you have any members who would be interested in coming to our Cub Scout Pack Meeting and giving a short (20 minutes or so) presentation to the kids and their families? We have about 40 kids in the pack, usually we have thirty plus that show up at any given pack meeting.

If you are interested in possibly presenting to the kids I think it would be a basic overview of what's in the cars, different scales, how the radio/servo systems work, discussion of battery vs. gas, and (most importantly to the boys) a demonstration of what the crawlers can do. We meet in Rockrimmon Elementary School's gym, so whoever presents would have to use electric vehicles (no gas cars indoors). We can pile up some mats and chairs for obstacles, or whatever you would suggest. We meet on the first Tuesday of the month from 7-8 pm, so it would be too dark to do the demo outside. If you have club info sheets we can hand those out to the parents and let them know when your next hike is and maybe put some pictures up on the Facebook site.

I'm juggling around presenters for the pack meetings and am pretty flexible. I'd love to have you guys in November, but I know that is short notice. If you have anyone (or multiple people) who would like to come in November our Pack Meeting is on Tuesday the 4th of Nov (about two weeks from now). If November isn't feasible then we meet again on 2 Dec, or we could look at Jan/Feb/Mar/April timeframe. I mentioned the possibility to the kids and they got super-excited, so hopefully we can work something out.

Thank you for your consideration of this, please let me know if it's something you might be interested in and whatever questions you have.

Anypne hitting up the track this saturday? They have a halloween race saturday sounds fun!

My sc10 is still broken in half from the last races,I spent my rc wad on a new back axle after it snapped in half at the last comp and a new body for the g6. Next paycheck is getting the stadium truck back in one piece. Should be ready for the races soon.
