It's been over a week since I got to wrench on the rigs so I'm gonna bring Daxtrn Sunday in hopes that he breaks something and gives me a reason to wrench again!!!!

That body sits really high?

It's down as far as it can go. Wait till you see how much lower of a profile the body is compared to the jk body. Roll gage is a lot smaller and skinnier in the back with no wheel flares for tight spots. Suspension adjustments are not final either. Have to do some testing and tweeking before she will be able to hang with the big boys. It's still an scx10 with just a different body.

Hey guys, next year is almost here ... like less than 3 weeks away. As a club that has great ambitions for 2014, I think we should schedule a meeting (maybe we can discuss a date this Sunday) to have some initial discussions on where we want to go with the club and how we want to get there ... like what special events/comps do we want to host and how we're going to market them. And since I assume we will be having special comps with hope of drawing in people from outside the Springs, we need to look at the national comp rules for scaling and determine how close we want to follow them ... edit them to our liking and post them so every one can go to them and know how we judge at our comps.
Just a thought ... 2014 is almost here. "thumbsup"

Your right Marshall we should have a club meeting before the end of the year. Unfortunately Christmas is crunching down on us and time is at a premium right now. Maybe a meeting the weekend after Christmas would be good. I ordered a tester t shirt and a bunch of club stickers for everyone to sport on their rigs. So hopefully they make it in time. I feel really bad that we were unable to get a " toys for tots" event this year so I would really like to start planing events now so we are not rushing to put something together. We can talk a little more about this tomorrow at garden of the gods.

Guys I would definitely want to do an event for toys for tots. But the lack of finding a place that would accommodate an event this soon and the lack of properly planning a state wide event. I can't put the soco name behind it until we know it will be a fun event for all involved and not be a huge flop that no one will come to soco events anymore. I promise that once the holiday season is over I will invest my own money to get this club up and going. And get the first batch of shirts and stickers. Joe I'm sorry that you spent all that time and effort into making trophies, but they will not go to waste in the future. Instead of one big event at the end of the year when it's blistering cold out. Maybe we can throw a couple events during the year that will benefit toy for tots. Sorry if I have let anyone down in the club. But I am not one to put shit together half ass and hoping it turns out. I spend a lot of my own time and money throwing these BBQ get togethers so everyone has a good time and brings the people in that we need to create a club. If we want this club to be around a while, then we need to be smart about what we do as a club. (FYI) if you think I'm being to cautious about the club. Look at norco's forum thread. They have all but petered out and have not had a post for a month. So if we want to be successful we have to plan these events so people want to come to Colorado Springs to crawl with the soco boys. My 2 cents.
