colorado springs weekly comps/trail runs?

I'm finally working on my Exo. Placed an order with RPP yesterday for these...

Mamba Max Race Pro 3800kV combo
Savox 1258TG Digital high speed Ti gear servo
Castle BEC
Gear Head RC Trail Torch LED Light Bar
Axial 54T Spur
13T32P 5mm Pinion

They should be here tomorrow. I am almost done with the build, and just need to finish the interior, mount the front shocks, and then the tires, and panels. I had ordered a Freq E skins P51 from RPP last week, and it showed up on monday. I got those on last night. Hoping to finish up the kit build minus the electronics tonight, then the rest tomorrow or friday. "thumbsup"

Looks like we might have an colo springs exo race/bash session on our hands. Mines runnin like a dream right now. All though courtesy of Neoakaj's genius brain, I cannibalized the light bar from my exo for my XJ build

Are the Freq-e-skins easy to apply?

I have my EXO running and I'm hoping to head out to track on Saturday if it's opened back up by then

Patience is the key to their install. It took me about 2 hours, and I re applied the roof and right side several times to get it right. The roof I had trouble centering and the sides were tough around the vent area. I wanted to make sure the shark teeth lined up perfectly, and so took a while. They are super easy to do though, and you can peal them back to fix an issue if needed. Just take it easy when pulling back once on. The hood and rear sides went one without any issue. The hood is 3 pieces, so you lay the middle first, then the red sections.

Are these EXOs mostly for the track or are they pretty good for bashing at places like Palmer? The only video i've really looked at was this guy jumping the EXO off of huge jumps on a BMX track.

Finished the kit build, now just waiting for the electronics to show up tomorrow.

Another cool rig! Hopefully I will get to see all of these at Palmer one of these days. I wish I could stay away from this RC crap - I just ordered a Slash Kawasaki Edition yesterday... 8)

Thanks!. You could bash it in open spaces like a park, but where it will be the most fun is on a track. If you don't know, there is an rc track off of Dublin and powers called the church track. It's on the open space that's next to the church out there. they have a drivers stand, several jump sections, and a short course section. It's $5 to run for the day or you can pay for the season I think. It's been a while since I have ran anything out there, been to occupied with scalers.

Let's get together for a session at the track Todd "thumbsup"

The EXO is more of an open space car. If think some of the trails at PP would be awesome for the EXO but you'd never be able to keep up with it. I there was an area where you could stand in one spot and see a 'course', I think you could have a lot of fun with an EXO there. Like the first scaler-cross course we ran at lazy land last year. You remember the one where you spanked everyone with your JK .

Looks good! When you sent me that text yesterday I had no idea what you were talking about... Now I do!

Good to know

Awesome! Check in on RCShortcourse via the link above. Getting all of them together for a fun-run at the track would be EPIC. Definitely need vid and pics of that "thumbsup"

They are re-wroking the track today, so it should be nice and tight soon  Here I am, 36 years old, and I still get as excited as a kid on Christmas morning.
Just got back from UPS

I'll be out there this weekend but I won't have my EXO done by then (I don't think).

I'll probably be running the rally course mostly.

Maybe 4-10-2012 ??? Let's see what everyone's schedule looks like.
