Colorado Rally Championship 2014

Mission statement

Series information
Scores will be tracked for everyone that comes to the events, regardless if you attend one event or all six. Your lowest score will be dropped from the series total, so your 5 best scores will count toward your series total. Gary, are you going to make some number decals again this year? if so i could use another set. let me know.

Howdy
I think I am missing it somewhere - but where are you doing this at?
Thanks!

Hello!

Not missing it yet! The track locations have not been posted. But the two that are going to be on the schedule for the first two events this season are HOON470 in Morrison and 40th St. Raceway on the northeast side of denver (roughly). There should be some more tracks, but they are still being built/worked on and have not been scheduled yet.

Most likely 2-4 of the events will be in Morrison. 1 maybe 2 at the HOON470 track, 1 at the HOON470 tarmac track and hopefully 1 stage event in the area.

When we get closer to the start of the series I will post up where the first race will be held.

Is the Losi XXX-S still allowed to run Group N?

Group N is the 8th/ large scale class. If memory serves me right that is a 10th scale car. If that is the case no.

But in the Group B class it should fit fine as long as it complies with the rules for the class. Jay, Caton, etc. I think all ran their Losi xxx-S/R cars in this class last season.

Sorry. I got my classes confused. I'll toss my hat in the ring for Group B. I'm good for a race or two.

I no longer have anything that fits in to the rules, so I'm out. I may stop by and take a picture or two during an event though.

Sounds like it probably does. What platform is the Tamiya car? TT01? DF03RA? XV01? TB01?

No worries.

Yes as long as it prescribes to the Group B rules you should be good. I do recommend making some type of underbody to keep the dirt out. Otherwise registration/ sign up will take place the day of the event at 9:30 am.

Tracks generally open at 9am for practice until the event starts at 10am. And the days events are usually done by 2pm, but it depends slightly on how many drivers we have.

Look forward to having you out.

The first race of the season will be at HOON470 in Morrison, Colorado.

Track will open at 9:00am and registration will start at 9:30am. Racing will start promptly at 10:00am.

Track directions:

C470 to the Morrison exit, go west on Morrison road and take the first left (across from the Conoco) onto Soda Lakes Road. Park in either the lower lot on the right or the upper lot on the left. Walk east on the trail(s) along Bear Creek past the BMX dirt jumps and the track will be in the meadow right before you get to the under pass of the hi-way. The most direct trail to the track is at the upper parking lot.
