Cheap, simple charger for SCX24 batteries?

Are there any cheap, simple to use plug & play style chargers out there for the SCX24 batteries? I don't mind doing a connector swap, but I'm looking for something that's otherwise plug & play like the original charger.

My buddy just got an SCX24 for his kid on my recommendation, and the POS charger doesn't work, so the kid can't even use his new truck. I'd give him mine, but mine was DOA right out of the box too. Axial really dropped the ball on these chargers.

Anyway, they're not RC people, and I don't know if they ever will be, so I need to find him a simple, idiot proof charger that he can buy while he waits for Axial to send him a replacement.

I got a b3 charger from amazon, it does 2&3s batteries via mains, balances, and no need to change plugs.. I’m in the UK, and it was just under £10, I aim to get a b6 in the future.. but for now the b3 is fine for me.

That B3 looks nice except that it charges 2S at 1.5A. I'm not sure the little 300mah battery can take that. I need something that limits charging to around 1C.

I use it on mine, it’s a 20c battery (unless you’re not using standard) which by my (admittedly limited) knowledge of LiPo should be fine. If I’m wrong then please someone tell me and I will have to get another charger.

Discharge rates don't equal charge rates. Plus, even if the battery was capable of taking a high current charge, it would shorten its life span. I don't really want to feed the battery more than 500mah during charging. I never like charging my batteries at more than 1C. I charge my SCX24 battery at 300mah using my usual charger, but that's not going to be an option for my buddy. He needs a safe, cheap plug & play option.

Thank you, looks like I will need to learn more about lipos and get a lower powered or variable power charger..
