i brought my first crawler a few weeks ago and wanted to tweak it a little and found i had to search through hundreds of posts to find one or to good tips so i thought id put the ones i found in the one place.

1: modding the bull bar so you can get better entry angle.
Cut the bottom left and right triangles off the bull bar leaving the center plate and all the top half of the bar intacted.

2: move the battery lower than standard.
remove the battery tray through out plastic pice take alloy battery plate and mount it across the chassis just behind the front wheels.

3: drill 2 holes on the back side of the wheel rims to let the air out of the Tyre this allows the Tyre to crush more.

4: remove the rubber bump stop from the bottom of the shock to allow it to travel further.

these are some simple mods Ive done to my rig and they made a big difference and they didn't coast a cent.

next upgrade for me will be wheel weights there cheap and make a big difference
a alloy rod steering link and 4 link suspension upgrade to stop the tail shafts hitting the y link and restricting suspension travel.
some 1.9 super swaper irok tyres there taller and wider then the stock flat ion tyres meaning more clearance and more grip.

hears some pics after i painted it all up nice.

cool thanks mate for the quick reply.

the plug has actual sh!t it self anyway and the wire falls out.

the plug u suggested will be the way to go.

thanks"thumbsup"

i would get rid of it but every now and again the kids have a go and run it into things so.

what about a battery upgrade the one i got takes 6 hours to charge for a 1/2 hour of play time:evil: sh!ts me off.

It would be better to get a different charger.;-) You likely have a "wallwart" which is a small brick that plugs into an outlet with a cord to the battery.
They charge slow, they can't balance charge, they're cheap, they do "OK".

A better charger can last for years, do lots of different batteries and most packs take about an hour to fully charge."thumbsup""thumbsup"
Some can also run off a wall outlet as well as your car battery for times when you go somewhere to run your rig."thumbsup"

found a imax b6 charger for $40 on ebay from china an adaptor to go from charger to wall socket for $7 deans plugs ebay $3 2x 5000mah nimh 7.2v batteries $25 each off ebay. the toy shop wants $120 just for the charger and $125 for 1 battery wat a rip.

I'd upgrade to lipo google sky lipo and you can get an NRC super brain 992 charger for 60 on line as well the sky lipos are around 20 depending on the size and cell count. Ditch the stock motor go with a fxr and a 35 t motor and about a 16 teeth motor gear. You can also use the stock servo plate and mount it to the chassie instead of the hand bros kit just make sure front is four linked. Btw sweet paint I love the dents in the body!!!!!!!
